FRIJID PINK - FRIJID PINK - Frijid Pink +2 - GER Repertoire Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
Excellent debut by an American formation from Detroit, characterised by the sound of heavily overdriven guitar, powerful drumming and occasional Hammond organ parts. The CD includes, among others, an excellent (and once quite a success) and very intense cover of the classic "House Of The Rising Sun" (sensational!), as well as plenty of thrilling material in the vein of The Amboy Dukes, MC5 and very early Led Zeppelin. German Repertoire edition in a traditional jewel case, with two bonus tracks. (JL) -
FRIJID PINK - FRIJID PINK - Defrosted - German Repertoire Digipackprice: 75,00 PLN / 18,75 EUR
The second album by a very good American group from Detroit - inevitably referencing the work of The Amboy Dukes and MC5 as well as Mountain and Ten Years After. The 'second' is somewhat more hard-rock (though less feisty than the debut), contains slightly longer tracks and was recorded without organ. Recommended! -

A double compilation containing the albums released by the Deram label ("Frijid Pink" and "Defrosted" - both from 1970) and single tracks from 1970-1971. It contains, among others, an excellent (and at the time quite a hit) and very intense cover of the classic "House Of The Rising Sun" (a revelation!), as well as plenty of thrilling material in the vein of The Amboy Dukes, MC5 and very early Led Zeppelin. "Defrosted" is somewhat more hard rock (though less feisty than the debut), contains slightly longer tracks and was recorded without organ. A must! (JL) -
