IDLE RACE (see also: The Move / Jeff Lynne / Electric Light Orchestra) - IDLE RACE - BBC Radio Sessions 1967-1969 - UK Maida Vale / Verne Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a black vinyl released in a beautiful, laminated sleeve with nice photos. Idle Race was a British soft-psychedelic rock band led by the young Jeff Lynne, and inspired by The Beatles, The Move (they were close friends with Roy Wood's band) and American bands of the 60s such as Moby Grape and Love. This superb, 58-minute album contains radio sessions made by this great but very underrated band, live at the BBC studios (with a few basic overdubs) in the period from October 1967 to September 1969. The record also contains great covers not released on the band's official records. Most of the tracks were issued on the very rare BBC Transcription Service discs, released in the late 60s exclusively for promotional purposes. This unbelievably good material is in my opinion much better and better produced than the studio albums. And of course every Electric Light Orchestra fan should have this album! A MUST! NEW, SEALED. -

IRON BUTTERFLY (see also: Blues Image / Captain Beyond) - IRON BUTTERFLY - Live At The Fillmore East, April 1968 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in a beautiful, laminated sleeve and limited to 500 copies, a black, perfectly pressed and fantastic-sounding vinyl, containing 52 minutes of excellent material performed by the psychedelic Americans! The album contains excellent recordings taken from the mixing desk (soundboard), chosen from the four concerts that the band gave at the Fillmore East in New York, on 26 and 27 April 1968 - four months before the release of their brilliant second LP, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida"! IRON BUTTERFLY (see also: Blues Image / Captain Beyond) - IRON BUTTERFLY – Live in Sweden 1971 - Purple Pyramid Records - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
An American vinyl with an official recording of a great, radio-broadcast (hence the excellent sound quality) Iron Butterfly concert from Sweden in 1971. The whole thing was made in a decidedly rock line-up of two guitars (Mike Pinera and Rhino), organ, and a rhythm section - known from the LP 'Metamorphosis' - and combined heavy rock with psychedelic, instrumental parts and long improvised passages. The LP contains only two very long, 24-minute tracks. The first side was taken up by the bluesy, classic 'Butterfly Bleu', while the second side belongs entirely to the brilliant 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida', presented here in a much longer version than the famous studio recording. Soon afterwards the band broke up and guitarist Rhino and bassist Lee Dorman founded the excellent Captain Beyond. A must! (JL) -

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY - IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY - It's A Beautiful Day - FRA Orange Press - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
The debut album is a wonderful combination of psychedelic style with rock dynamism (hard-hitting electric violin parts) and an ethereal, mystical mood. It is on this record that classics such as "White Bird", "Bulgaria" and "Bombay Calling" appear - the latter shortly afterwards 'adopted' by Deep Purple for "Child In Time"... A French reissue in a gatefold sleeve, from 2020. -
IT'S ALL MEAT - IT'S ALL MEAT - It's All Meat - SPA Guerssen Remastered Press - LISTENprice: 145,00 PLN / 36,25 EUR
An absolutely cult and at the same time sensational album, the only one in the output of a heavy-psychedelic band fascinated by one of the tracks by Eric Burdon & The Animals (from the LP "Winds Of Change")... A sensational combination of heavy guitar sounds with organ passages à la The Doors. The highlights here are two epic, extended tracks of nearly 10 minutes each, though the rest of the recordings are great too! A 2025 remastered edition. Highly recommended! (JL) -

LIVING DAYLIGHTS (see also: Greatest Show On Earth / Leon Paul-Phillips / Fuzzy Duck) - LIVING DAYLIGHTS - Let's Live For Today - SPA Guerssen MONO Pressprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
An album by a cult psychedelic band, led by Garth Watt-Roy (among others Greatest Show On Earth, Fuzzy Duck, Steamhammer, as well as a solo record under the pseudonym Leon Paul-Phillips) and his younger brother, Norman (Greatest Show On Earth, Ian Dury & The Blockheads). Unfortunately the release of the record depended on the success of the first two singles, and these did not "conquer" the charts. 2024 Spanish mono edition. Highly recommended! (MU)
