IDLE RACE - BBC Radio Sessions 1967-1969 - UK Maida Vale / Verne Press - LISTEN - VERY RARE

Limited to 500 copies, a black vinyl released in a beautiful, laminated sleeve with nice photos. Idle Race was a British soft-psychedelic rock band led by the young Jeff Lynne, and inspired by The Beatles, The Move (they were close friends with Roy Wood's band) and American bands of the 60s such as Moby Grape and Love. This superb, 58-minute album contains radio sessions made by this great but very underrated band, live at the BBC studios (with a few basic overdubs) in the period from October 1967 to September 1969. The record also contains great covers not released on the band's official records. Most of the tracks were issued on the very rare BBC Transcription Service discs, released in the late 60s exclusively for promotional purposes. This unbelievably good material is in my opinion much better and better produced than the studio albums. And of course every Electric Light Orchestra fan should have this album! A MUST! NEW, SEALED.
