Overall the record should appeal to fans of Trees, Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, Gryphon, or Sandy Denny's debut album. Recommended. -

A remastered European edition, released in a gatefold sleeve, of the excellent and unfortunately only album, released in 1969, by a British progressive band led by the wind player Mel Collins - soon afterwards lured away from the band by Robert Fripp to King Crimson! Typically progressive playing with jazz influences and a few short ballads. The album contains, among other things, an absolutely stunning, almost heavy-rock, 8-minute version of "Norwegian Wood" by The Beatles and a brilliant rework of a jazz classic by Charles Mingus - one of my favourite progressive tracks 'ever'! This is the best-sounding reissue of this title! A must! -

This superb double vinyl, limited to 500 copies and lasting nearly two hours, contains, among others, a 50-minute recording of the concert the band gave in August 1969 at a festival in Boston (with Litherland in the line-up - a month before the release of the second album), including a brilliant, 23-minute, heavily extended version of "Valentine Suite". In addition, three tracks from a never-released BBC radio session from 1969 and 40 minutes of recordings from the 1971 "Colosseum Live" tour not previously released on vinyl. The sound quality is excellent, as is the pressing. A must! Condition: NEW, not shrink-wrapped. -

The album contains unreleased tracks (including "In The Heat Of The Night" and "Tell Me Now" from the period of the first record), radio sessions for the BBC and Beat-Club, a live version of "Valentyne Suite" that did not make it onto the 1971 CD "Live", and many other wonders. In all, nearly two hours of sensational playing in a very nice, gatefold (with plenty of rare, early photos), laminated sleeve! Edition no longer in production. A must! -

The only album by a Dutch band combining progressive rock with psychedelia and hard rock, which may bring to mind the Pretty Things' "Parachute", underrated in Poland, and the early recordings of Focus and Jethro Tull. As an original on the Negram label it is probably the most expensive progressive/psychedelic record from the Netherlands, fetching 1000-1200 euros in perfect condition. This is a very attractive-looking 2024 reissue, in a laminated sleeve and with very nice sound. CONDITION: new, unsealed. -

A limited French edition in a gatefold sleeve of the cult debut album, released in 1973 by Japanese Columbia, by a progressive band (singing in Japanese - but not much) reminiscent of Pink Floyd (from the 'Meddle' period) and early Camel, combined (especially on the excellent second side) with Deep Purple and Atomic Rooster! A full side of the original vinyl was taken up by the great, 19-minute and very dark suite "An Old Castle Of Transylvania" (sometimes the whole album is called that), built on Hammond organ and sharp, overdriven guitar - sounding more like 1970 than 1973. This album will delight every lover of heavy progressive playing! The sound quality and the pressing of the black vinyl are excellent! A must! -
