ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS (see also: Ithaca) - ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS - Alice Through The Looking Glass - US Lion Editionprice: 95,00 PLN / 23,75 EUR
CD debut of the charming first album by the songwriting duo Pete Howell and John Ferdionando (Ithaca, Agincourt, Friends and Tomorrow Come Someday), being the musical score to a stage play based on Lewis Carroll. Released in 1969 in 80 copies, this very subtle, fairy-tale album resembled the work of very early Pink Floyd, Donovan or The Moody Blues and combined elements of British folk and light psychedelia. In addition, the recording used backwards tapes, processed vocals and excerpts from the stage play. Plus 11 previously unreleased minutes. Highly recommended! (JL) -
APPLE - APPLE - An Apple A Day +4 - UK Grapefruit Remastered Expanded Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
The only record by the ephemeral band Apple is an absolute classic of British psychedelia and freakbeat, that is, a mixture of the sounds of The Yardbirds, The Beatles, The Who, Open Mind and The Move! An absolute killer, and on vinyl it fetches 3500 euros!!! A remastered 2020 edition, in a digipak, extended by four single tracks in mono versions. An absolute must! (JL) -

BEACH BOYS - Smiley Smile / Wild Honey - UK Remasteredprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
Smiley Smile is a rather peculiar album, regarded either as the best (by rock fans) or the worst (by Beach Boys fans). For me it is enough that Good Vibrations and Heroes And Villians are on it. -
BEACH BOYS - BEACH BOYS - Pet Sounds - EU Remastered STEREO & MONO Editionprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
Very attractively presented edition containing the mono and stereo mix of the classic pop-psychedelic album. A very beautiful and elegant record containing, among others, the wonderful "God Only Knows" and several more gems... Alongside "Smiley Smile", released a year later, it is probably the best album in the sizeable output of this American formation. Very attractive, 28-page booklet. Highly recommended! -

BEAT BOYS - BEAT BOYS - Beat Boys - US Lion Editionprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
Classic, though rather exotic (sung in Spanish) pop-psychedelia with folk and garage touches! Very nicely presented, the only album by an Argentinian group based in Brazil and drawing on the work of the Lemon Pipers, The Zombies, The Beatles and Brazilian tropicália. Plus the B-side of a single. American CD. Recommended! (JL) -

GROOT, BOUDEWIJN DE - BOUDEWIJN DE GROOT - Picknick - EU Remastered Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
In the Netherlands this record is the object of a cult following. Post-Beatles psychedelia with clear folk influences. The backing band sometimes plays very rock, but as a rule gently. De Groot sings in Dutch; a language that by nature sounds very rough - but he comes out of it with credit. Surprisingly, it is very good listening. And that hellishly psychedelic cover... -
