BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Od In For The Kill! do Impeckable (1974-1979) - CHRIS PIKEprice: 50,00 PLN / 12,50 EUR
This is the SECOND PART of the story of the group Budgie - made on the basis of long conversations with the second/third line-up. This volume covers the NEXT FOUR ALBUMS from 1974-78 ('In For The Kill', 'Bandolier', 'If I Were Brittania I'd Waive The Rules' and 'Impeckable'). The text is very concise, the photos of the band, sleeves, record labels, press cuttings, old adverts - incredible (a pity they are black and white, but at least on excellent paper...). It could not have been done better! We also have the first volume! -
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Pierwsze trzy albumy - CHRIS PIKEprice: 50,00 PLN / 12,50 EUR
This is the first book about Budgie (made on the basis of long conversations with the first line-up) - but what a book! First, its print premiere takes place in Poland and second, it is a dream book for every Budgie fan as well as for vinyl record collectors and lovers of that era in general! The author (a New Zealander) is a manic fan of the band and has such things in his collection that you can only envy! The text is very concise, the photos of the band, sleeves, record labels, press cuttings, old adverts - incredible (a pity they are black and white, but at least on excellent paper...). It could not have been done better! Well, it could have been taken further, but here is a surprise: another volume with the next FOUR albums ('In For The Kill', 'Bandolier', 'If I Were Brittania I'd Waive The Rules' and 'Impeckable'). -

BUFFALO (AUS) - BUFFALO - Dead Forever +7 - EU Once Again Expanded Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A new, limited European edition of the excellent debut album released in 1972 by ('swirl') Vertigo Records, by the heaviest-playing band in the history of 70s Australian rock! The band had a genuine ability to compose catchy, though always dark tracks. The music rolled along slowly - like a steamroller, especially in the 11-minute cover of Free's "I'm A Mover"! The first Buffalo album can be compared to the recordings of Black Sabbath, Budgie, Bloodrock and Sir Lord Baltimore. In addition, as many as seven nice tracks are included: three tracks from Buffalo's 1972 singles; two mega rare tracks released on a single back in 1971 under the name Head and two live recordings from 1973! A MUST! (JL) -
BUFFALO (AUS) - BUFFALO - Volcanic Rock / Only Want You For Your Body - GER Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
German edition gathering two fantastic albums from 1973-1974. A combination of the best of early Black Sabbath and Grand Funk. Ah, those riffs! Great guitar solos, a very heavy sound, a strong vocal. Excellent sound, though rather modest artwork (compared with the Australian editions). A MUST! -
BUFFALO (AUS) - BUFFALO - Average Rock'n'Roller +2 - AUS Aztec Remastered Expanded Digipack Editionprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
The fifth album by a legend of Australian heavy rock. Australian digipak from Aztec, from 2006, with two bonus tracks. -
BULL ANGUS - BULL ANGUS - Bull Angus - US Mandala Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Excellent debut (once released by Mercury) by an American hard-progressive formation, harking back to the style of Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Bloodrock, Sir Lord Baltimore, Power Of Zeus and Bang! Do you need a better recommendation! Great and genuinely thrilling organ-and-guitar playing with numerous instrumental parts. The second album - Free For All (1972) - came out at the same time. Digipak. Highly recommended! -
BYRON, DAVID (see also: Uriah Heep / Rough Diamond) - DAVID BYRON - Take No Prisoners +3 - UK Lemon Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Remastered British edition, expanded with three bonus tracks, of the very successful debut album by the Uriah Heep vocalist. This album, released in 1975, was recorded with the help of colleagues from his parent band - guitarist Mick Box and drummer Lee Kerslake. No wonder, then, that among the nine compositions on the record there are quite a few (genuinely nice, by the way) that could easily have joined the UH repertoire - such as the opening, almost epic and powerful-sounding "Man Full Of Yesterdays"! Highly recommended! -
CACTUS (see also: Vanilla Fudge / Leaf Hound) - CACTUS - Cactus / One Way ...Or Another (2CD) - UK Hear No Evil Remastered Expanded Editionprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Double, remastered British CD containing the first two albums by the heavy blues rock formation, founded by former members of Vanilla Fudge and Amboy Dukes. Plus four bonus tracks. Recommended. -

An eight-disc set containing four studio albums recorded for the ATCO label ("Cactus" from 1970, "One Way ...Or Another" and "Restrictions" from 1971, "Ot 'N' Sweaty" from 1972 - all with bonus tracks), as well as the live "Fully Unleashed: The Live Gigs" and "Fully Unleashed: The Live Gigs Vol. II". Everything in a rigid box, together with a 24-page booklet. A must! -
CACTUS (see also: Vanilla Fudge / Leaf Hound) - CACTUS - Live At Fox Theater Long Island, New York 1971 - EU Klondike Editionprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
A really nice radio concert from 1971. Very good sound quality, though not as excellent as on the 2CD "Live At The States". -
CACTUS (see also: Vanilla Fudge / Leaf Hound) - CACTUS - Live In The States 1971 (2CD) - FRA On The Air Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
A superb double CD lasting over two and a half hours, containing a complete show of excellent quality from December 1971 (just after the release of the third album "Restrictions") and five live recordings from August 1971. The band (still in the classic line-up) played as if inspired - like a combination of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Cream. Most of the tracks lasted between 8 and 20 minutes! The sound quality is perfect - it could not be better! Why did this material not come out at the time??!! A few months later the rhythm section of Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice formed a trio with Jeff Beck. A must! (JL) -
CACTUS (see also: Vanilla Fudge / Leaf Hound) - CACTUS - Restrictions / 'Ot And Sweaty (1971-1972) (2CD) - UK Hear No Evil Remastered Editionprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Third and fourth albums released together as a double, remastered CD. Restrictions is probably the most successful of all the albums by this American formation, while the still superb "fourth" contained half-live, half-studio material, and the group's vocalist at that time was Pete French, known from Leaf Hound! A MUST! -

CALIFORNIA, RANDY (see also: Spirit) - RANDY CALIFORNIA - Kapt. Kopter And The (Fabulous) Twirly Birds +2 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
British, remastered edition of the great solo debut by the leader and guitarist of Spirit - here assisted by bassist Noel Redding, playing under a pseudonym, and the former Spirit drummer Ed Cassidy. Recorded shortly after the break-up of the classic Spirit line-up (the other faction formed Jo Jo Gunne), the album contained Hendrix-like, guitar-driven material in the power trio style - including two Beatles covers ("Day Tripper" and "Rain"). Plus two tracks from a rare single. This is a rock classic with great, Hendrix-style guitar parts! Highly recommended! -
CAPTAIN BEYOND (see also: Deep Purple / Iron Butterfly) - CAPTAIN BEYOND - Sufficiently Breathless - US Remastered Editionprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Recorded already without Caldwell, a rather uneven second album was inspired to some extent by the work of Santana and unfortunately, despite many nice passages, did not have the power of the rocking debut. Even so it is a good record worth owning - also for Evans's vocals. -
CARSON - CARSON -On The Air: Recorded Live 1970–1973 (2 CD) - Aztec Records Editionprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
An extensive archival release documenting the live face of Carson – one of the most important Australian blues-rock bands of the early seventies. The material comes from concerts and radio performances recorded among others at Thumpin' Tum, the Mulwala Rock Isle Festival, the Sunbury Festival and at Melbourne Town Hall. The band presents here its characteristic style based on a free combination of blues, boogie and hard rock, with plenty of room for guitar improvisation and the spirited playing of the whole group. A remastered Aztecs Records edition. -
CHARGE - CHARGE - Charge - UK Seelie Court Card Sleeve Limited Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A reissue limited to 400 copies of a record by a band playing heavy progressive rock, recorded (but not released at the time) in 1973. -
CHRISTMAS - CHRISTMAS - Heritage - CAN Unidisc Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
One of my favourite and most often played albums! Top three of the best records in the history of Canadian rock - and what is more, recorded by a few 18-year-olds! It is hard to define this music unequivocally - it is supposedly hard-rock, but... a psychedelic kind. Many changes of rhythm and mood; charming, somewhat Beatles-like melodies. Two improvised, guitar tracks run for over 10 minutes. A must! -
CHRISTMAS - CHRISTMAS - Live At Massey Hall - CAN Unidisc Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A recording of a 1971 concert - on CD for the first time. Originally this material appeared on LP only in 1990 (previously only on cassette). The CD contains only four tracks, one of which (lasting nearly 20 minutes) is a premiere. The sound quality is very good! Highly recommended!
