Remastered edition of the second album by the once popular Swedes. As with the excellent debut (Maiden and Judas in one) - it was different, sharper and decidedly more feisty playing than that on "Final Countdown" - closer to the aesthetics of Heavy Load, Judas Priest and Riot, but also UFO and Thin Lizzy. I definitely recommend this album, although I know that among most fans of heavy music the name Europe is not held in the highest regard... (JL) -

This digipak CD contains both albums by an American heavy-psych-rock band, known above all for the excellent LP "Fat" (the second photo) - released in 1970 by RCA and combining a psychedelic mood with somewhat heavy guitar playing - a bit like the debut of Damnation, Banchee and Maypole. The second record, released six years later (this is the cover on the front of the CD - why?), is not bad - especially for 1976. This CD is really worth having for the sake of the debut! -

A remastered and decidedly improved in every respect edition from the Eclipse label of the debut album, released in 1969 by Vanguard, by the classics of American heavy rock - at last with the full cover. A superb and, in sum, underrated debut by a very good band from Detroit, led by the excellent guitarist Dick Wagner (later in Ursa Major and the bands of Lou Reed, Alice Cooper and Peter Gabriel). The music on this, without a doubt the band's best album, is a combination of catchy compositions from the circle of melodic psychedelia and classic, heavy rock; heavily thickened rhythms, and of course the all-pervading, juicy and piercing guitar parts of the Cream, Amboy Dukes and early Grand Funk kind. There is not a single weak track on this excellent record! Additionally two live recordings from 1969, joined together, are included. A MUST! (JL) -

Remastered Swedish edition of the cult album released in January 1973, on which the musicians of the early Thin Lizzy line-up (Phil Lynott, Eric Bell and Brian Downey), with the help of two other Irishmen (a vocalist and a keyboardist), perform classic Deep Purple numbers and several covers. It is a very good, solid album - released in its day for quick money by small labels, and today without a doubt belonging to the broad canon of rock. It is worth paying attention to the great versions of "Fireball" and "Hush", and above all the excellent "Speed King"! This is an absolute must for fans of Lizzy and old hard rock! Inside, among other things, is a reproduction of the cover of the German edition issued under the name The Rock Machine! Highly recommended! -

Released in 1970 (and not in 1969 - as some sources say), the only, but sensational, album by an American formation with a blazing, guitar-and-organ, almost progressive (including mellotron), British sound. It is hard to believe that a few years later two musicians from this group founded the rather mediocre Cheap Trick. This is an album from the same shelf as the Captain Beyond debut, the first Bloodrock records, or the second album by Damnation Of Adam Blessing. In addition two tracks from a rather average single from 1969. A MUST! (JL) -

A three-disc set containing the albums by the band of the guitarist Ronnie Montrose, formed after the break-up of Montrose, released by Elektra ("Gamma 1" from 1979, "Gamma 2" from 1980 and "Gamma 3" from 1982). All of them belong to the classics of hard rock, although in Poland they are practically unknown. Each has single bonus tracks added, and the whole thing comes in a rigid box, with a 12-page booklet inside. Highly recommended! -

A five-disc box set containing all the albums by the hard rock band (with slight glam influences) with Brian Johnson (pre-AC/DC) on vocals! I would like to note that Brian sang a little cleaner and, I think, better than in AC/DC... Especially on the first two albums this was thoroughbred, guitar-driven, heavy playing, decidedly in the vein of early Nazareth (1973), a bit like Slade and Sweet in their heavier moments and like very early AC/DC! Highly recommended! -

Released in 1972, the excellent debut album by a German heavy rock band - along with Scorpions' debut, Lucifer's Friend's first album, the albums Blackwater Park, Armaggedon and (the second) Hairy Chapter, it is one of the few best albums of this kind made on the other side of the German border. A raw, guitar-driven sound in the vein of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, with clear progressive rock influences (e.g. acoustic interludes and flute parts). Very good sound! A must! -

NOTE! This forgotten (also in Japan) album never came out on CD - also in the musicians' homeland! Released in 1976 at the band's own expense (on the Sea Side label) and recorded during a performance in a small hall, the LP contained five fairly extended compositions lasting 6-9 minutes and drew you in with dark rawness and the unrestrained power of playing more characteristic of 1971-1972 than 1976! This is dense, heavy-riff-based, slightly psychedelic, at times decidedly progressive playing for two lead guitars (with rather average, but decidedly acceptable vocals), without doubt inspired by the style of early Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and especially Blues Creation (from 1971), where overdriven guitar, decisive bass and energetic drums created an almost hypnotic, yet invigorating atmosphere. This is a really great album, which in the original Japanese version costs 600-700 euros! Very highly recommended! Condition: NEW, sealed.
