ECLECTION (see also: Fotheringay/Fairport Convention) - ECLECTION - Eclection +3 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
A brilliant, unfortunately sole album by a British (or rather international) folk-psych-progressive band - recorded in London in 1968 and released by Elektra (the label of The Doors and Love). This once very underrated album was filled with very vivid, totally enchanting and wonderfully arranged music seducing with subtle melodics, neat (male-female) vocal parts and a unique, late-psychedelic mood. The whole recalls the best moments of It's A Beautiful Day, Jefferson Airplane and Fairport Convention, though the sound at times was even juicier. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! -

Strictly limited (400 copies) and hand-numbered American card sleeve containing, expanded with one unreleased track, the debut album by a Peruvian folk-rock formation with slightly psychedelic influences. A very nice and superbly produced record based on the interplay of acoustic guitars and flute, with strong (though not intrusive) influences of the local folklore. Recommended. (K) -

Alongside the LP "Unhalfbricking" and both Trees records, this is probably the best album from the British folk-rock circle! A brilliant combination of folk tradition, rock sound and wonderful melodies. Sandy Denny rules! Two bonus tracks. Highly recommended! -
FAIRPORT CONVENTION - FAIRPORT CONVENTION - Unhalfbricking +2 - EU Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
Probably the best record in the band's discography. A totally crystallised style; great, shimmering (at times psychedelic) guitar parts from Richard Thompson; brilliant vocals from Sandy Denny; charming melodies. Two extras. -
FAIRPORT CONVENTION - FAIRPORT CONVENTION - What We Did On Our Holidays +3 - UK Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in January 1969, the second album in the discography, though the first with Sandy Denny (and with Ian Matthews - still on second vocals). You can still hear the influence of psychedelia and even blues, but this is already folk-rock. The superb Meet On The Ledge and Fotheringay. In their native Great Britain it is this album that is regarded as the group's peak achievement! There is something in that! 3 bonus tracks. A must! -

FRESH MAGGOTS - FRESH MAGGOTS - Fresh Maggots - AUS Progressive Line Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A very nice album combining acoustic, folk moods with overdriven guitar sound and slightly Anderson-like (of JT) vocals. In my book I gave this record 7 and I think that is 1 too few... -
