GRYPHON - Raindances - Transatlantic Recordings 1973-1975 (2CD) - UK Esoteric Remastered Edition - LISTEN - LAST COPY

A two-disc anthology containing all the tracks from the four albums recorded by the band for the Transatlantic label in 1973–1975. Gryphon was one of the most original bands to appear in the progressive era. They were formed on the initiative of Royal College of Music students Richard Harvey and Brian Gulland, initially playing a combination of traditional English music with medieval and Renaissance influences. Using various traditional instruments, they later expanded the line-up with Graeme Taylor on guitar and Dave Oberle on percussion and drums. (MU)
