An excellent (though I suspect not for everyone) first solo record by Clive Palmer - founder of the Incredible String Band (he appeared only on the group's first LP). Psychedelic, narcotic folk combined with the music of the East. The second album ("Moyshe McStiff") is even better!!! -

CONTINUUM - CONTINUUM - Autumn Grass - SWE Flawed Gems - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! Second (and last) album by a British, folk-jazz-progressive formation made up of classically trained musicians wishing to combine early music, folk, jazz and rock into one. On the 'second', released in 1971 by RCA, two line-ups appeared: the first three tracks (including 9' and 11' ones) were performed by an almost rock band with Hammond organ, saxophone, flute, piano, occasionally electric guitar and a typical rhythm section, while the 27-minute, title and at moments strongly avant-garde suite on the second side of the LP was recorded by a more folk-jazz line-up, known to some lucky people from the excellent debut. This beautiful record, hiding many surprises, does require a few listens, but once you get to know it better you cannot break free of it! Excellent sound! Highly recommended! -
CONTINUUM - CONTINUUM - Continuum - EU Walhalla Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A super-charming combination of classical music and folk - or rather Bach with Pentangle, with a pinch of modern (avant-garde) music. Classical guitars, flute, double bass and jazzy drums. I wrote more about this in my book on British Rock. Highly recommended! -
COTTONWOOD (see also: Love) - COTTONWOOD - Camaraderie - EU Walhalla Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Cottonwood is a Californian formation founded by Gary Rowles - the former Love guitarist (on the records "Out Here" and "False Start"). Released in 1971 by the label ABC, the formation's only album contained ten "laid-back", guitar-driven tracks combining folk, blues and country with psychedelic influences (as in the very nice "50 LBS Of Smile"). Perhaps it is not a masterpiece, but the record is a real pleasure to listen to. Recommended (K) -

CROSBY, DAVID (see also: Byrds / CSN & Y) - David Crosby - Live at the Matrix, December 1970 - Remastered Edition - UNIKALNY CDprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
In the archives of 70s rock there are still recordings that — though seemingly secondary — can cast new light on familiar figures. "Live at the Matrix, December 1970" is just such a document. Captured in an intimate San Francisco club, David Crosby's concert shows the artist at a telling moment - between the era of The Byrds and the activity of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The presence of members of the Grateful Dead — Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh and Mickey Hart — gives the whole a relaxed, slightly psychedelic character. ONLY TWO COPIES! New, sealed. -
