YAMASHTA, STOMU - STOMU YAMASHTA - Seasons - Island Albums 1972-1976 (7CD) - UK Esoteric Remastered Editionprice: 230,00 PLN / 57,50 EUR
A seven-disc box set from 2022, containing the albums recorded by the Japanese drummer and keyboardist for the Island label: "Floating Music" from 1972, "Man From The East" and "Freedom Is Frightening" from 1973, "One By One" from 1974 and "Raindog" from 1975, as well as the records sometimes credited as the group Go, the first of them as the trio Stomu Yamashta/Steve Winwood/Michael Shrieve - the studio "Go" and the live "Go... Live From Paris", both from 1976. Yamashta's music is very good, progressive, extended playing with distinct elements of jazz and should appeal to fans of such artists as Soft Machine, Nucleus, Can, Gong, Isotope or Gilgamesh, and even admirers of the first Skin Alley record. All the albums have been remastered, and the whole thing comes in a rigid box, with an attractive, 40-page booklet inside. Highly recommended! (MU) -

YARDBIRDS (see also: Jeff Beck / Led Zeppelin) - YARDBIRDS - Roger The Engineer - EU 180g Mono Pressprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
A brilliant, second British album, commonly known as "Roger The Engineer". It is hard to believe that it was the only studio, British, catalogue album! At the same time the title was the band's peak achievement and also the quintessence of the freakbeat style and a bridge between beat/rhythm'n'blues and psychedelia! A must! -

YES - YES - Looking Around - A Collection Of Rare Live Tracks 1969-1970 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in an attractive sleeve, a single French vinyl limited to 500 copies, being a nearly hour-long and truly excellent compilation of very rare, unique live recordings by the band from its earliest period - recorded during the period of the first two albums, between the autumn of 1969 and the summer of 1970 - with the guitarist Peter Banks, the keyboard player Tony Kaye and Bill Bruford on drums. The album contains three recordings from the Beat-Club programme, from November 1969, a live version of the rare, excellent single "Something's Coming" from August 1969 and a half-hour performance from Cologne, from April 1970 - recorded just before the departure of the band's original guitarist. This performance sounds much better than the material on YouTube (link below), and was also sped up slightly - to the original tape speed. The sound quality is very good, or ideal, and the black vinyl is perfectly pressed! A must! Condition: NEW, unsealed. -

Fantastic, fan-club CD, limited to 500 copies, containing an 80-minute (full) recording of a radio concert, recorded and broadcast by the American station King Biscuit Flower Hour, in December 1974 - just after the release of the classic LP "Relayer"! The band played all three tracks from that album, and besides 2/3 of "Close To The Edge" and something extra... The sound quality is almost perfect, and keyboardist Patrick Moraz (ex-Mainhorse/Refugee) made the band sound slightly different from before (and after)! A must! (JL) -
