Released in 1974, a very good debut album by a band playing classic, rather gentle (without instrumental acrobatics) but flawlessly delivered rock in the tradition of old Yes, Genesis, Fantasy, Asgard and Druid. The 14-minute "To The Urban Man" is a progressive masterpiece - with a building mood, Mellotron parts and a delicious guitar solo. It is an album that will delight all lovers of this kind of playing; besides, it was produced by Rick Wakeman! The second album, released in 1975, was filled by just 4 tracks - including a 19-minute, multi-threaded, instrumental suite. -

Two excellent blues-rock albums on one remastered CD from BGO. "Electric Mud" (1968) is in my opinion the best (read: the most rock) album in the career of the legendary bluesman. Rocking, almost hard-rock blues. "After The Rain", released a year later, was hardly inferior! Musicians from the group Rotary Connection played on both records. Definitely recommended! (K) -

A three-disc anthology of a British band performing a kind of pop-psychedelia in the style of The Beatles and The Hollies, with Mellotron, sometimes overdriven guitar and rich vocal harmonies. The compilation contains all the Pye Records releases, as well as recordings for the short-lived Trend label and as many as four albums from 1967-1969, recorded exclusively in the band's home studio. The latter reveal that at heart West Coast Consortium were a garage, psychedelic band. Twenty recordings appear for the first time, which makes "All The Love In The World" the band's first complete anthology! The whole thing in a four-panel digipak, with a 28-page booklet inside.
