WICKED LADY - Axeman Cometh - UK Unreleased Heavy Rock (Vol. 1 - 1969-1972) - SPA Guerssen Remastered Edition - LISTEN

Superb heavy rock material, unreleased in its day, by the cult British trio, whose leader was guitarist and vocalist Martin Weaver - co-responsible for the great LP "Round The Edges" (1972), released in 1972, by the group Dark. Incidentally, this talented musician was remarkably unlucky... Listening to the recordings of Wicked Lady (not to mention Dark) one has to admit that this was very intense, heavy rock blazing (with a slightly garage mood) on a par with the then output of the rock front rank! Who knows how this material would have sounded if some big record label had released it in its day! The CD has a fairly extensive booklet and very good sound quality. ATTENTION! A second Wicked Lady CD, containing only recordings from 1972, came out simultaneously in the same edition. Both records basically form a whole and although we sell them separately I cannot imagine that anyone would be satisfied with only one of them... Definitely recommended! (JL)
