SLADE - SLADE - Live At The BBC 1972 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A superb, limited edition of the live, promotional album (released in 1972 in 100 copies by the BBC Transcription Service, and years later also on the double CD "Slade At The BBC"), on a 57-minute black vinyl! The record contains an excellent-quality performance from London from August 1972 (four months before the release of the LP "Slayed?"), as well as two bonus tracks: "Darling Be Home Soon" (from British TV from June 1972) and "Coming Home" (from Belgian TV from November 1971). It is a somewhat longer and more hit-laden "Slade Alive", though the set of tracks is different (including "Look Wot You Dun", "Move Over", "Mama Weer All Crazee Now", "Lady Be Good", "Coz I Luv You", "Take Me Back 'Ome", "Good Golly Miss Molly")! The sound quality is excellent (the bonus tracks too), and the whole thing looks superb! It is a superb complement to the LP "BBC Sessions 1969-1971". A MUST! Condition: MINT, NEW, unsealed. (JL) -

SLADE - SLADE - BBC Sessions 1969-1971 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RARE - OSTATNIE SZTUKIprice: 250,00 PLN / 62,50 EUR
OUT OF PRINT! LAST COPY! A French, limited edition on 55-minute black vinyl! I must admit that nothing has made such an impression on me for a long time as Slade playing for the BBC! The record contains the band's earliest work (November 1969 - May 1971) - just before they won enormous popularity with "Get Down And Get With It" and "Coz I Luv You"! During short, three- or four-hour sessions, the then completely unpopular band recorded 4-5 numbers 'live' at the BBC studio, and at first these were covers of other artists' recordings. Just look at the titles! Among others, songs from the repertoire of The Beatles (a similar but sharper "Getting Better"), Traffic (the brilliant "Coloured Rain"), The Moody Blues (the beautiful "Nights In White Satin") as well as Janis Joplin, Fairport Convention, Moby Grape, Delaney & Bonnie and the forgotten band Max Frost And The Troopers (the fantastic "The Shapes Of Things To Come")... Sensational! Slade play like gods here and this music will probably appeal to all fans of dynamic playing from the turn of the 60s and 70s! I repeat: if anyone dislikes the band for its glam image, they should still give this record a chance! Excellent sound quality on all the recordings! A MUST! Condition: NEW, not shrink-wrapped. -

SLADE - SLADE - British Radio Sessions 1969-1972 - FRA On The Air Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
I must admit that nothing has made such an impression on me for a long time as this 80-minute limited release! During short three- or four-hour sessions, the then completely unpopular band recorded 4-5 numbers 'live' at the BBC studio, and at first these were covers of other artists' recordings. Just look at the titles! Among others, songs from the repertoire of The Beatles (a similar but sharper "Getting Better"), Traffic (the brilliant "Coloured Rain"), The Moody Blues (the beautiful "Nights In White Satin"), as well as Janis Joplin, Fairport Convention, Moby Grape, Delaney & Bonnie and the forgotten band Max Frost And The Troopers (the fantastic "The Shapes Of Things To Come")... Sensational! Slade play like gods here and this music will probably appeal to all fans of dynamic playing from the turn of the 60s and 70s! I repeat: if anyone dislikes the band for its glam image, they should still give this record a chance! Of the 25 tracks, 19 were previously released on the long-deleted, official double CD "Live At The BBC", but here the quality is marginally better (more treble and bass), and there are six unreleased tracks! Excellent sound quality on all the recordings! A MUST! (JL) -

SLAYER - SLAYER - Live In Woodstock Concert Theatre March / July 1983 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in France in an edition of 500 copies, lasting nearly 60 minutes, a fascinating live album containing the earliest known material recorded for a handful of fans in March (and then in July) 1983 at the small Woodstock club. Right after the release of one track on the compilation "Metal Massacre III" and half a year before the debut LP "Show No Mercy" (December 1983)! The record contains four tracks unknown and unreleased on any studio album ("Simple Aggression", "Ice Titan", "Assassin" and "Night Rider") reminiscent at times of Mercyful Fate! The material from March 1983 sounds very good (somewhat better and cleaner than the best versions known from YouTube), although it is not perfect either. The laminated, very attractive sleeve contains several rare, nice photos of the band and reproductions of several rare press cuttings from the period! An absolute must for fans of classic metal! The edition will soon run out! Condition: MINT (NEW, UNSEALED). (JL) -

SLAYER - SLAYER - Hell Awaits Tour 1985 / 1986 (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
Released in France in an edition of 500 copies, a limited, collectors' double live album lasting nearly 120 minutes containing classic material with great sound quality, recorded between August 1985 and February 1986 - on the legendary tour promoting the LP "Hell Awaits". Made up of sizeable excerpts from several concerts (mainly from the Country Club in Reseda in Los Angeles from August 1985), it contains literally ALL the compositions played during that tour! Additionally, all four recordings (from April 1985) from the rare and cult VHS "Combat Tour '85" have been included. The vinyl quality is almost perfect - like a top-shelf catalogue live album! LP
SLAYER - SLAYER - Live Intrusion 1995 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in France in a run of 500 copies, an over 50-minute live album containing the classic material, once released on official VHS and DVD, recorded in Costa Mesa in America, in March 1995, on the tour promoting the LP "Divine Intervention". Playing with the excellent drummer Paul Bostaph (ex-Forbidden), the band was in fantastic form and at the same time sounded very selective! Attention! The sensational "Witching Hour" (a cover of the band Venom) recorded during the same performance (with the musicians of the band Machine Head) unfortunately did not fit here, but fortunately it made its way onto another LP released at the same time by the Verne label - "Hand Of Doom - Collectable Tracks 1986-2009". The quality of the vinyl is perfect - like a top-shelf catalogue live album! The laminated, very attractive cover contains several rare, nice photographs of the band and reproductions of several rare sleeves! An absolute must! Condition: MINT (NEW, UNSEALED). -

SLAYER - SLAYER - Hand Of Doom - Collectable Tracks & Studio Rarities 1986-2009 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in France, in a run of 500 copies, an over 50-minute album gathering great, classic, rare studio material from various recording sessions made in 1986-2009. The individual recordings came either from rare singles ("Aggressive Perfector" from 1986), or from film soundtracks ("In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" from 1987, "Disorder" from 1993), or else from rare, limited, usually Japanese CDs ("Hand Of Doom", "Born To Be Wild"). For me the biggest attraction of this superb album (alongside the brilliant "Disorder" from the repertoire of The Exploited) is the only live track on the record, "Witching Hour" - a cover of the band Venom recorded in 1995 with the musicians of the band Machine Head! What a blast! Attention! This track did not fit on the vinyl version of the VHS/DVD "Live Intrusion" (which makes it an attractive complement), also released by Verne! The quality of the vinyl is perfect - like a top-shelf catalogue studio album! The laminated, very attractive cover contains several rare, nice photographs of the band and reproductions of several rare sleeves! An absolute must! Condition: MINT (NEW, UNSEALED). -

SLOUGH FEG (see also: Hammers Of Misfortune) - LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG - Lord Weird Slough Feg (1st Album) - ITA Cruz Del Sur 'new cover' Limited Press - LISTEN - OSTATNIE SZTUKIprice: 450,00 PLN / 112,50 EUR
LAST COPIES! Released in a very stylish gatefold sleeve (different from the private CD from 1996, as well as the original double LP from 2002, expanded with demo recordings), and pressed at 45 RPM to improve the dynamics, a VINYL REISSUE of the brilliant debut of The Lord Weird Slough Feg (that is what Mike Scalzi's band was called until 2004), containing a chunk of fantastic, raw and at the same time epic metal in the style of early Iron Maiden with a touch of Black Sabbath, a pinch of thrash and elements of Celtic melody! This is the band's most intense, raw (but by no means primitive) and direct record! Eight, very well produced tracks, played as a trio, lasting 26 minutes in total - exactly like on the CD of 1996 pressed in 500 copies! Not too long, but very, very intense! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! (JL) -
CD
SLOUGH FEG (see also: Hammers Of Misfortune) - SLOUGH FEG - Made In Poland (Live In Warsaw 2011) - POL Megadisc Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Well, sometimes dreams come true! This is a recording of the concert organised by Megadisc on 2 August 2011, during the tour promoting the CD "The Animal Spirits". Released by us in a run of 500 copies, the 70-minute CD with a 32-page booklet is the ninth in the official discography, and the first live album of THE BEST METAL FORMATION OF THE LAST 25 YEARS! I remind you that California's Slough Feg play traditional, melodic (in the positive sense of the word), strongly eclectic, heavy rock/metal with an old sound (for two lead guitars) in the style of the early recordings of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy! Since 2006 I have been a staunch (even manic) fan of this San Francisco quartet and I genuinely consider them an exceptional formation - simply perfect! 'Made In Poland' is a 100% official recording, released in close cooperation with Slough Feg, of a fantastic (lasting 105 minutes in total) concert that (organised by Megadisc for an audience that was, unfortunately, small...) took place at Progresja in Warsaw. The record contains 72 minutes of excellent, traditional metal - and what is more sounding SENSATIONAL! The concert itself was very well amplified (it is worth stressing that the musicians played on specially imported, old, classic Marshall, Hiwatt and Mesa Boogie sound equipment and on old drums that once belonged to Acid Drinkers!), but the quality of the recorded material exceeded my wildest expectations! Mike Scalzi's vocal sounds wonderful, very mature (the guy probably did not sing out of tune once!), both guitars play their parts loudly, clearly, in the old style and with great separation for each channel, and the drum sound is a true revelation - you can hear almost every hit, even the quietest! How different this sounds from the typical "cardboard shoebox" - the dull sound characterising 90% of live albums released today! I admit immodestly that I cannot recall a better recorded live metal album! 'Made in Poland' (a title that is both a patriotic outburst and a kind of tribute to Deep Purple's 'Made In Japan' - my favourite album of all time...) stylistically strongly resembles a combination of Thin Lizzy's "Live And Dangerous", UFO's "Strangers in the Night", Scorpions' "Tokyo Tapes" and Judas Priest's "Unleashed In The East"! Yes! Those four heavy rock monsters of the late 70s - each with the parts of two lead guitars in the main roles! I am not exaggerating in the least! Besides, 'Made In Poland' sounds as if it had been recorded somewhere between 1977 and 1981 - with numerous passages sounding as if they had been made even earlier! At the same time, hand on heart, I must write that in my opinion the Slough Feg live album is no inferior to any of the above titles either in the quality of the compositions or in performance! ATTENTION! NO OVERDUBS WHATSOEVER were used on the record apart from the editing of the audience noise and some individual sounds (tuning) or announcements. Personally I consider this vinyl a great musical event and at the same time a real treat for lovers of juicy, guitar-driven playing with a clear melody, but as the publisher of the record I am probably not very credible. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! ATTENTION! The double vinyl edition ON COLOURED - WHITE AND RED VINYL, IN A CHANGED SLEEVE AND WITH AN ENCLOSED 24-PAGE, COLOUR BOOKLET (containing many more photos than the CD version) came out at the end of December 2012. -

SLOUGH FEG (see also: Hammers Of Misfortune) - SLOUGH FEG - Animal Spirits + 4 PODPISY / 4 SIGNATURES !!! - ITA Cruz Del Sur 1st Press - LISTEN - LAST COPYprice: 600,00 PLN / 150,00 EUR
The LAST copy of the album "The Animals Spirits" on LP, signed by the whole Slough Feg line-up: Mike Scalzi, Adrian Maestas, Angelo Tringali and Harry Cantwell (now out of the band). The signatures are of course authentic and were made at the Megadisc premises - the day after the band's Warsaw concert organised by us (2 August 2011). We consider this a great treat for true fans, all the more so as a second opportunity to meet the band, or to organise a concert, is unlikely to occur, and this kind of 'gadget' never gets cheaper! SLOUGH FEG (see also: Hammers Of Misfortune) - SLOUGH FEG - Animal Spirits - ITA Cruz Del Sur 1st Press - LISTEN - OSTATNIE SZTUKIprice: 250,00 PLN / 62,50 EUR
Vinyl edition of Slough Feg's eighth studio album. Another portion of classic, traditional playing coming from the school of Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest and early Iron Maiden - with a pinch of Celtic folk. The whole thing sounds as if it had been produced in the 80s, and sometimes even the 70s (which is nice, I think) and comes across as a slightly gentler and more polished version of the albums "Atavism" and "Hardworlder". And that wonderful, in its own way warm tenor of Mike Scalzi! In the last track Bob Wright - vocalist of the sorely missed group Brocas Helm - sang as a guest! Besides that, the band presented an excellent cover of the track "The Tell-Tale Heart" - originally sung by Arthur Brown and taken from the debut LP of The Alan Parsons Project, from 1976. I have listened to the record "The Animal Spirits" many times and consider it downright sensational - classically hard rock, played with heart and so catchy that you want to listen to it endlessly. Next to the music of Slough Feg, the latest output of Iron Maiden, Metallica or any popular metal groups simply does not exist... Complete with a single, coloured insert with photos (which are not on any CD edition!). Out of print, we have the last two copies! A MUST! -

SLOUGH FEG (see also: Hammers Of Misfortune) - SLOUGH FEG - Made In Poland - Live In Warsaw 2011 (2LP) - POL Megadisc DOUBLE WHITE & RED VINYL Press (+24-page BOOKLET) - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
Well, sometimes dreams come true! This is a recording of the concert organised by Megadisc - on 2 August 2011, during the tour promoting the CD "The Animal Spirits". Released in a run of 500 copies, the vinyl version is a minute and a half longer, newly mastered, and as a result sounds brighter, more expressive and slightly more dynamic! 72 minutes of music have been released in a gatefold, laminated sleeve with a changed front - on two clear vinyls: white and red - like the Polish flag! In addition we have enclosed (slipped in loose) a 24-page booklet (30cm by 30cm on top-quality coated paper with a stiffened cover taken from the CD version) containing 90 large, colour photos from Warsaw - most of them unpublished on the CD. I admit that the whole thing looks simply stunning - like an outstandingly 'lavish' album from the mid-70s! I do not recall a 24-page, colour booklet in any live record! Released exclusively by our own, Polish Megadisc (the band itself decides on its live recordings, hence this possibility!) - the ninth in the official discography, and the first live album of THE BEST METAL FORMATION OF THE LAST 25 YEARS - on double vinyl! I remind you that California's Slough Feg play traditional, melodic (in the positive sense of the word), strongly eclectic, heavy rock/metal with an old sound (for two lead guitars) in the style of the early recordings of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy!
