ADMIRAL SIR CLOUDESLEY SHOVELL - ADMIRAL SIR CLOUDESLEY SHOVELL - Don't Hear It... Fear It! - UK Rise Above Edition - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
This British band plays, sounds and looks as if it had been plucked straight from 1970-73! The sensational debut album combines the best of heavy rock from 40 years ago: the heaviness of Black Sabbath, the raw sound of MC5 and Blue Cheer, the finesse of Cream and Led Zeppelin and the untamed energy of the Budgie debut... Yes indeed, this material, recorded as a trio, is probably most reminiscent of the first album by the Welshmen. The whole thing sounds as if the musicians had simply walked into the studio, grabbed their instruments and recorded everything in one go! A great record, though the rather raw vocal may not appeal to everyone... Definitely recommended. (K) -

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION (see also: Joe Bonamassa / Glenn Hughes) - BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION- Afterglow - EU Press - UNIKALNY CDprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
The band's third album from 2012, formed by, among others, Joe Bonamassa and Glenn Hughes (ex-Deep Purple). The record combines classic hard rock with blues, strongly inspired by the sound of the 70s (e.g. Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple). The band relies on heavy riffs, dynamic bass parts and a characteristic vocal. The band's name refers to the industrial region of the Black Country in England – Hughes's home area. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -
DIAGONAL - DIAGONAL - Second Mechanism - UK Rise Above Digipack - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
A fantastic second album by the Brits! "Second Mechanism" is excellent, heavyish, progressive material, recorded on old analogue equipment, as if plucked straight from 1970-73! Guitars, mellotron, analogue keyboards, saxophone, flute and classic-sounding drums. In my opinion it is perhaps even a better album than the debut! As before, long, instrumental, slightly psychedelic forms full of changes of tempo and mood dominate here too. If this album had come out 40 years ago we would all have "prayed" to it, like to the best classics of prog rock! We absolutely recommend it to all fans of good, progressive playing! -
