GIRLSCHOOL (see also: Motorhead) - GIRLSCHOOL - Bronze Years 1980-1983: Demolition / Hit And Run / Screaming Blue Murder / Play Dirty - UK Lemon Remastered (4CD BOX) - LISTENprice: 160,00 PLN / 40,00 EUR
Sensational! Four-disc box set from the British label Lemon containing, made for Bronze Records, the first four albums by the best all-female formation in the history of rock! The LP "Demolition", released in 1980, and the next one, "Hit & Run" (1981), are absolute classics of the NWOBHM genre - very energetic, juicy and at the same time melodic playing, somewhat reminiscent of a slightly softened version of Motorhead's "Ace Of Spades"! These are albums I have listened to regularly since I was 15! The next two records maintained a high level, but compared with their predecessors were already slightly weaker ("Screaming Blue Murder" from 1982 - still very heavy, metal, and the Slade-produced LP "Play Dirty" from 1983 - already somewhat mellowed, more geared towards the American market). In addition twelve great bonus tracks from singles are included, among them my favourite, the sensational live "Demolition Boys"! Please have a look at the old video for the track "C'mon Let's Go" or the duet performance with Motorhead... A must! (JL) -

IRON MAIDEN - IRON MAIDEN - Live At Hammersmith Odeon, London, May 1983 2CD - Full Concert - EU Sweet Leaf Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
A tastefully released, limited, European double CD containing a 115-minute performance (recorded from the audience, but in really very good sound quality) that took place in the temple of metal of the day, that is London's Hammersmith Odeon in May 1983, during the tour promoting the just-released, fourth LP in the band's discography, 'Piece Of Mind'. A big plus of this concert is the splendid, truly unique set of tracks, including 'Piece Of Mind' played almost in its entirety! The cover features a classic design by Derek Riggs - the band's then house cover artist - borrowed from the front of the official 1983 tour programme! Once again: the sound quality is almost great (a little muffled but beating hands down the recordings available now) and all the instruments and the vocal can be heard very well! Besides, there DOES NOT EXIST a better recording of a full concert by the band from that tour! It is certainly a huge treat for fans of old Maiden and the NWOBHM! A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. METALLICA - METALLICA - Live At The Keystone 1983 - FRA Verne Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A 59-minute album released by Verne Records on limited black vinyl and in a very attractive, laminated sleeve, documenting the band during the tour promoting the debut "Kill 'Em All" (1983). The concert, recorded on Halloween (31 October), had previously appeared in the multi-disc CD box set "Kill 'Em All" and is well recorded (straight from the mixing desk) - perhaps not perfectly, but given the conditions it would have been hard to do better. The record contains the world premiere of "Creeping Death", "Fight Fire With Fire", "Ride The Lightning" and "Call Of Ktulu". An absolute must! Condition: MINT, NEW, UNSEALED. (JL) -
METALLICA - METALLICA - No Life 'Til Leather - Early Demos 1982-1983 - FRA Verne Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in France, in a run of 500 copies, the album gathers the contents of three legendary demo tapes ("No Life 'Til Leather", "Power Metal" and "Megaforce Demo") professionally recorded in the studio and released/handed out on cassettes by the band (mainly in the line-up James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Ron McGovney and Lars Ulrich + Cliff Burton on two recordings from the third demo) between the spring of 1982 and the spring of 1983. The running time of the record did not allow for one recording to be included, namely the version of "Hit The Lights" known to fans, released as early as 1982 by the Metal Blade label on the legendary compilation "Metal Massacre". The quality of this 52-minute and many times reissued material FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY (apart from the cassette tape released a few years ago on Record Store Day by the band) is perfect - 80% of the record sounds like a catalogue, somewhat raw-produced, studio album! Importantly - on this occasion the tape speed was corrected, the hiss removed and the sound brightened! And here you can clearly hear how very talented and how immensely powerful this band was! The laminated, very attractive cover contains several rare, nice photographs of the then teenage band! An absolute must! Condition: MINT (NEW, UNSEALED).
