GENESIS - GENESIS - Studio Rarities 1968-1978 - Rare Singles, Outtakes & Demo Tracks - FRA Verne Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A collectors' and beautifully made LP limited to 500 copies, featuring 52 minutes of excellent music by Genesis in various line-ups and A PERFECT COMPLEMENT to the albums of the 70s! The album includes, among others, "Build Me A Mountain", an outtake from the debut, where it would have been the best track! Besides that, two demo versions from August 1969 (the unofficially recorded "Going Out To Get You" and "Dusk", later known from the LP "Trespass" - 6 minutes long here) and single recordings from 1972-1978 - all in attractive remixes from 2007-2008, which have never appeared on vinyl, only on CD box sets! The sound quality is perfect. The very attractive, almost fairy-tale, FULLY LAMINATED sleeve features, among others, several rare photos, including one (from 1973) with the Italian progressive band LE ORME! Condition: NEW, but unsealed. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! -

GIBBONS, STEVE (see also: Idle Race) - STEVE GIBBONS BAND - Rollin' - Albums 1976-1978 (5CD BOX) - UK Esoteric Remastered Edition - LAST COPIESprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
The Steve Gibbons Band was formed by a vocalist and guitarist who had been active on the Birmingham music scene since the early sixties. He had previously played in the bands The Ugly's and Balls (with Trevor Burton, known from The Move, and Denny Laine, formerly of the Moody Blues), and later joined Idle Race, arriving just at the end of its activity, but together with his colleagues he formed his own band. The box contains three studio albums by the band: "Any Road Up" from 1976, "Rollin' On" from 1977 and "Down In The Bunker" from 1978 and the live ones, "Caught In The Act" from 1977 and "BBC Radio One In Concert" recorded on 17 November 1977 at the Golders Green Hippodrome in London. A total of nineteen bonus tracks have been added to the first four, taken mainly from John Peel's broadcasts. The band's music is hard rock with elements of folk, and Gibbons himself has been compared to Bob Seger. All the records have been remastered, and the whole thing comes in a rigid box. (MU) -

GILTRAP, GORDON - GORDON GILTRAP - Fear Of The Dark +7 - UK Esoteric Remastered Expanded Editionprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Could Steve Harris (the leader of Iron Maiden) have been inspired by the logo and typeface? And on top of that he later borrowed the title of this album for his own band's record of 1992? Another very good, soft-progressive, mainly instrumental album by the British guitar virtuoso - resembling a combination of early Rick Wakeman (1975-76), Camel of the second half of the 70s and the early records of the Alan Parsons Project - with elements of Old English folk. John G. Perry, Clive Bunker, as well as the somewhat forgotten gentlemen of the duo Edwards Hand took part in the recording. Excellent production. Recommended. -

GRANMAX - GRANMAX - A Ninth Alive / Kiss Heaven Goodbye (1976-1978) - US Digipack Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Two albums (1976/1978) by an American hard rock formation on a single CD. On the first record, from 1976, the band played heavy rock with slight psychedelic influences - as in the early 70s! You can hear echoes of very early Rush, Granicus and Sir Lord Baltimore. A great and very underrated album! The second, heavier (but in my opinion slightly weaker) record harked back almost to the proto-metal style known from records by Moxy, Yesterday And Today and Teaze. A real treat for hard rock fans! Highly recommended! -

LP
HEAVY LOAD - HEAVY LOAD - Full Speed At High Level - EU Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A limited, almost faithful replica (in a gatefold sleeve instead of a single one - with lyrics and enlarged photos inside) of the Swedish original, worth 350 euros, of the sensational debut by a Swedish heavy rock band known mainly from the somewhat later and quite popular (and in metal circles cult) albums "Death Or Glory" (1982) and "Stronger Than Evil" (1984). The debut, recorded in 1978, was until recently known to rather few listeners, since it was released by the band in a run of only 1000 copies on its own label and it is hardly surprising that in collecting circles it was and is regarded as the Holy Grail of pre-metal heavy rock - for musical reasons and also purely collecting ones! It is without doubt one of the heaviest and sharpest records of the 70s - inspired by the work of Black Sabbath, early Judas Priest, and also the Swedish Neon Rose; close to the work of somewhat later bands from the NWOBHM circle, but at the same time not free of clear progressive influences from the early 70s (Wishbone Ash). NOTE! The sound is slightly better, more souped-up than on an average-pressed original! It is an absolute MUST for every fan of heavy sounds! -

JUDAS PRIEST - JUDAS PRIEST - Live In Tokyo 1978 +3 - EU Sweet Leaf Expanded Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
Released in an attractive sleeve (inside which there is a nice, unique, large photo from a concert in 1977), a single, LIMITED European CD, containing an excellent-sounding (radio broadcast + two very good audience recordings) hour-long performance, recorded in July 1978, during the Japanese tour promoting the brilliant fourth album "Stained Class" (with drummer Les Binks). After this album the band abandoned its progressive touches, and Rob Halford began to sing somewhat harder than before... A splendid set of recordings (including a 13-minute, improvised version of "Genocide") with a very good, clear sound. NOTE! Additionally included are three recordings from Japan ("Delivering The Goods", "Evil Fantasies" and "Beyond The Realms Of Death"), recorded a year later for the classic live album "Unleashed In The East - Live In Japan" and released only on British singles. The biggest attraction is the absolutely brilliant version of "Beyond The Realms Of Death"! (1979), never released on CD. A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -

LP
JUDAS PRIEST - JUDAS PRIEST - Mother Sun - A Collection Of Rare Live And Studio Recordings 1973-1978 - EU Verne Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a 52-minute black vinyl, released in a very attractive, laminated sleeve with very rare, early photos of the band, still on the threshold of fame. This superb album contains on the first side a perfect-sounding, 26-minute concert for BBC radio from 1978 promoting the LP "Killing Machine". The second side gathers very rare pieces from the very beginning of the career: a demo of the unknown track "Whiskey Woman" from 1973 (in much better sound quality than on YouTube), two perfect-sounding fragments recorded for BBC TV in 1975 and (most importantly) the epic, progressive, 10-minute track "Mother Sun", never released on a record and known only from two live recordings (originally planned for the LP "Sad Wings Of Destiny"), referring directly to the style of Wishbone Ash and very early Queen! The quality of this recording is not perfect (though better than the YouTube versions below...), but the quality of the music fully makes up for the sonic shortcomings! A MUST! Condition: NEW, but not shrink-wrapped.
