4 LEVELS OF EXISTENCE - 4 LEVELS OF EXISTENCE - Four Levels Of Existence - SPA Guerssen Remastered Press - LISTENprice: 145,00 PLN / 36,25 EUR
The only, truly cult album, recorded in 1976, by a Greek heavy-progressive band playing heavy, though at times fairly melodic, rock based on the strongly overdriven sound of the guitar (like Yugoslavia's Fire or Britain's Dark). Changing moods, rather broken rhythms, a nice, rather melodic (Greek) vocal. The original vinyl, released in a minimal run, is worth over 2000 euros and is considered the most collectable record from the country of Aphrodite's Child. A 2025 remastered edition. Highly recommended! (JL) -

Very tasteful American edition of the only, genuinely cult album, made in 1976, by a Greek heavy-progressive formation playing heavy, though at moments quite melodic, rock based on a heavily overdriven guitar sound (like the Yugoslav Fire or the British Dark). Changing moods, rather broken rhythms, a nice, quite melodic (Greek) vocal. The original vinyl, released in a minimal pressing run, is worth over 2000 euros and is considered the most collectable record from the country of Aphrodite's Child. Highly recommended! (JL) -
AKRITAS - AKRITAS - Akritas - EU Walhalla Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1972, the only album by a great, Greek band playing very atmospheric progressive rock and at the same time combining elements of the rock style of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (from the period of the LP Tarkus) with folk and heavy rock. The original vinyl, once released by Polydor, is worth a fortune. Highly recommended! -
APHRODITE'S CHILD (see also: Vangelis / Demis Roussos) - APHRODITE'S CHILD - 666 (Apocalypse Of John 13/18) (2CD) - EU Edition - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Released in 1972, a wonderful, double and decidedly progressive album by the Vangelis/Roussos partnership, from the time when both played ambitious rock, although it was the former who was the brains of the band... One of the best works of European prog-rock - decidedly different from the band's earlier, more accessible records: "End Of The World" (1969) and "It's Five o'Clock" (1970). There are those who consider this album the best progressive playing in the history of the genre! A MUST! (JL) -

ROUSSOS, DEMIS (see also: Aphrodite's Child) - DEMIS ROUSSOS - On The Greek Side Of My Mind - UK RPM Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Very good debut album by the Aphrodite's Child vocalist - then slowly heading towards a solo career. Released in 1971, the LP (made just before the brilliant "666") can safely be called the third AC album, all the more so as musicians from that group helped in its recording. It is ambitious, melodic pop rock with clear influences of Greek folk and progressive music. Besides, Demis had a genuinely charming voice! Recommended! (JL) -

The debut and a truly excellent album from the Greek pop-psychedelic trio, with Vangelis on organ and Demis Roussos on bass and vocals. Alongside hits such as End Of The World and Rain And Tears, there are also expansive, psychedelic masterpieces like The Grass Is No Green and Day Of The Fool. A varied album, full of charm, with a wonderful, spacious sound - so typical of the late 60s! This edition is no longer available.
