A sensational, limited, double vinyl from the Verne label gathering twenty live recordings (lasting nearly two hours!), recorded in Britain in 1970, in the period of the second and third albums! Eighteen tracks were made during the same concerts as the classic LP/CD 'Free Live', and they were previously known from the bonus tracks of the 1971 live CD and from the third disc of the rare, five-disc box set. The last two numbers were recorded at the legendary concert on the Isle of Wight. The sound quality is excellent! The first complete anthology of the British band, founded by the drummer (here also the vocalist) Bobby Harrison and the guitarist Ray Royer, who right after recording the single "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" were replaced in Procol Harum by B.J. Wilson and Robin Trower. The five-disc set contains the albums: the soundtrack to the film by the Italian director Tinto Brass "Nerosubianco (Black On White)" from 1968, "Freedom At Last" and "Freedom" from 1970, "Through The Years" from 1971 and "Freedom Is More Than A Word" from 1972. In addition, a total of fifteen bonus tracks have been added, including alternative, single and demo tracks. It is hard to classify the band's style; at the beginning it leaned towards psychedelic rock, but from the third record it switched to hard rock close to Humble Pie, with elements of progressive rock. A 28-page booklet is enclosed in the rigid box. Highly recommended! (JL) -

What a surprise! A show by this somewhat forgotten but, in certain circles, cult British progressive band (known for the great LP Skeleton In Armour, EMI, 1973), recorded at London's Marquee in 1974 by... a Japanese tourist, has after many years been released officially on CD! The sound quality for an official bootleg (and for a hall reportedly completely lacking in acoustics) is very good, though not ideal. A link to the music is attached. Highly recommended! -

An album with a soundtrack created by Peter Gabriel, being his eleventh album. It was released on 12 June 2000, commissioned by the Millennium Dome Show, a multimedia spectacle that was performed 999 times at the Millennium Dome in Greenwich, London, between 1 January and 31 December 2000. Unlike most albums in his discography, Gabriel handed over some of the main vocal parts to other vocalists, including Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins), Richie Havens and Paul Buchanan (The Blue Nile).
