CHURCHILLS (see also: Jericho Jones / Jericho) - CHURCHILLS - Churchills - SPA Guerssen Press - LISTENprice: 160,00 PLN / 40,00 EUR
A very nice Spanish reissue (with a gatefold insert) of an album released at the end of 1969, one of the 5 best psychedelic records made at the end of the 60s outside Europe and the USA. A splendid album - a collector's Holy Grail worth, as an excellently preserved original on the Head-Arzi label, around 5000-6000 euros! This Israeli band (with a British guitarist/leader) combined in an original way the aesthetics of British psychedelia (especially in the first part) with heavier, almost experimental sounds (side 2) with the melodies of the local folk. Unfortunately at the time almost nobody in Israel listened to such 'anarchistic' music, which is why the record sold in minimal numbers. Soon afterwards the group went to the UK and transformed into the excellent Jericho Jones and then into Jericho! A must! -
JERICHO (see also: Jericho Jones / Churchills) - Jericho - Guerssen Press Edition (LP - VINYL LP)price: 155,00 PLN / 38,75 EUR
A remastered reissue of one of the best heavy-progressive albums in the history of rock! This album, released by A&M (and totally passed over at the time), is real guitar dynamite! This excellent record was filled with 5 tracks (including 3 lasting between 8 and 11 minutes) on the border of heavy rock and typical British progression (without keyboards) - with occasional entries of flute or acoustic guitar - a bit in the style of the sorely missed T2. To tell the truth, it is hard to find in British rock a record as intense as Jericho! Forget Leaf Hound, Jerusalem or Incredible Hog... Neither Budgie, nor Led Zeppelin, nor even Black Sabbath ever delivered such fire as the track Ethiopia opening the whole! I admit that I once did not value this album as much as I do now. Today for me it is a hard rock top twenty of all time! -
JERICHO (see also: Jericho Jones / Churchills) - JERICHO - Jericho +2 - SWE Flawed Gems Expanded Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
In the very beginning there was the psychedelic Israeli formation Churchills (with an excellent LP from 1968, worth over 3000 euros in the original), then in 1971 the musicians (with a British vocalist/guitarist) went to the British Isles, changed their name to Jericho Jones and released a classic, truly great hard rock album. Right after that they shortened the name to Jericho and as a result in 1972 one of the best heavy-progressive albums in the history of rock was made! This album, released by A&M (and completely ignored in its day), is real guitar dynamite! This excellent record was filled with five tracks (three of them lasting between 8 and 11 minutes) on the border of heavy rock and typical British progression (without keyboards) - with occasional entries of flute or acoustic guitar - somewhat in the style of the sorely missed T2. To tell the truth, it is hard to find in British rock a record as intense as Jericho! Forget Leaf Hound, Jerusalem or Incredible Hog... Neither Budgie, nor Led Zeppelin, nor even Black Sabbath ever rocked as hard as the opening track "Ethiopia"! I admit that I once did not rate this album as highly as I do now. At present it is for me a hard rock top twenty of all time! Plus two tracks from the last single. A MUST! -
JERICHO JONES (see also: Jericho / Churchills) - JERICHO JONES - Junkies Monkeys & Donkeys - Guerssen Press - LISTENprice: 155,00 PLN / 38,75 EUR
The debut album of the group Jericho Jones, or rather the second album of the cult Israeli psychedelic band Churchills (with a British vocalist), but under a changed banner! Interestingly, the next album was recorded under the name Jericho... In any case this record, made in Britain, contained a chunk of great, classic and very thoroughbred hard rock (with progressive elements) in the vein of Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Three Man Army. Sealed. A must! -

Additionally five tracks from rare singles. Digipak. A must! (JL)
