RECREATION - Recreation / Music Or Not Music (1970-72) - AUS Progressive Line Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

A little-known Belgian band with two records to its name. Heavy Hammond, bass, drums and (on the "second") guitar dominate. The debut is somewhat reminiscent of the work of The Nice and Rare Bird combined with Brian Auger's Trinity - though it could be more varied. The second album, however, is stunning! The short tracks form an eclectic, 40-minute suite. Somewhat "Zappa-like" progression in full measure - plenty of sound effects, sudden changes of style and rhythm. Recommended!
