MOVING GELATINE PLATES - Moving Gelatine Plates - FRA Replica Press - LISTEN

A superb debut by a French progressive band referring almost directly to the best work of the British Canterbury scene. On the one hand an attractive combination of the style of the earliest work of the Dutch band Supersister with the British Marsupilami - and on the other the early, rockified Soft Machine and the Gong of the time! Very intelligent, though not without a pinch of humour, jazzy (though firmly rooted in rock) playing with the overdriven sound of organ, somewhat twisted electric guitar, saxophone and flute and a scampering rhythm section. A must! New, sealed.
