MOVING GELATINE PLATES - Moving Gelatine Plates - FRA Musea Edition - LISTEN

A superb debut by a French progressive band, referencing almost directly the best work of the British Canterbury scene. On the one hand an attractive combination of the style of the earliest work of the Dutch group Supersister with the British Marsupilami - and on the other early, rockified Soft Machine and the Gong of the time! Very intelligent, though not without a pinch of humour, jazzy (though firmly rooted in rock) playing with overdriven organ sound; somewhat twisted, electric guitar; saxophone and flute and a racing rhythm section. A must!
