YARDBIRDS (see also: Jeff Beck / Led Zeppelin) - YARDBIRDS - Live Yardbirds Featuring Jimmy Page - EU Timeless Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A reissue of a legendary album recorded in March 1968 and released by American and Canadian Epic in 1971. Unfortunately, after just a few days the LP was withdrawn from sale following Jimmy Page's fierce objection, which of course instantly turned the record into a considerable rarity. The Yardbirds, playing as a quartet, appear here as a thoroughbred psychedelic band that on the one hand still remembers its rhythm 'n' blues roots, but plays with rock verve and does not shy away from long improvisations - just as befits 1968! The band even plays "I'm Confused" here - an early version of "Dazed And Confused" (a song Page took in 1967 from one Jake Holmes). This is sensational material and, to be quite honest, alongside the 1966 album and the classic singles it is without doubt the best thing this wonderful band ever recorded! Seriously - this is an obligatory LP for every rock fan, also because of the good (though not perfect) sound quality. Stiff, laminated cardboard sleeve, heavy vinyl. New - sealed. A must! (JL) -
YARDBIRDS (see also: Jeff Beck / Led Zeppelin) - YARDBIRDS - Little Games - UK Fame/EMI 1985 1st Press - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 300,00 PLN / 75,00 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare first British edition (from 1985; earlier the record came out only in the USA, Canada, Germany and New Zealand) of the band's last studio album, from 1967 (with Jimmy Page on guitar), a very underrated pop-psychedelic-rock masterpiece (still with blues influences). Perfect condition! Sleeve: MINT- / Record: MINT- -

The long-awaited CD edition of the legendary album recorded in March 1968 and released by American and Canadian Epic in 1971. Unfortunately, after just a few days the LP was withdrawn from sale following fierce opposition from Jimmy Page, which of course made the record a considerable rarity on the spot. Playing as a quartet, the Yardbirds appear here as a genuine psychedelic formation, on the one hand still mindful of their rhythm'n'blues roots, but playing with rock verve and not shying away from long improvisations - as befitted 1968! The band even plays "I'm Confused" here - an early version of "Dazed And Confused" (a song Page stole in 1967 from one Jake Holmes). This is sensational material and I admit honestly - alongside the 1966 album and the classic singles - it is without a doubt the best thing this wonderful band ever recorded! A brilliant, second British album, commonly known as "Roger The Engineer". It is hard to believe that it was the only studio, British, catalogue album! A four-disc set containing three CDs with material from the Jeff Beck era, while the fourth documents the period when Jimmy Page replaced him.
