An anniversary double edition of the brilliant second British album by the band (here with the sleeve taken from the 1966 German vinyl), popularly known as "Roger The Engineer". Jeff Beck on guitar. It is hard to believe that this was the only British studio album by this highly influential, yet ultimately underrated band! At the same time it was the band's peak achievement and the quintessence of the freakbeat style, and a bridge between beat/rhythm'n'blues and psychedelia! The mono mix is decidedly different from the stereo. A must! (JL)
