BLUES CREATION (see also: Creation / Dew / Carmen Maki & Oz) - BLUES CREATION - Live 1971 (2LP) - FRA Absinthe Expanded Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
Recorded in 1971 (unfortunately not released on vinyl in its day - only on CD in 1998), the live album was in the same, very intense heavy blues rock style (Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and the Allman Brothers Band in one) as the brilliant studio albums "Demon And Eleven Children" and "Carmen Maki + Blues Creation" (both from 1971). Besides that the band presented several blues standards, serving merely as a pretext for heavy, dynamic, guitar-driven improvisations based on the mighty playing of the rhythm section. To tell the truth, I do not recall any Anglo-American formation that played so juicily and so uncompromisingly live! Compared with the Japanese CD this edition has three more tracks (one more than the European CD from the same concert) and - attention! - a different version, recorded a week later, of the track "Nightmare", unreleased on any LP. Excellent sound quality. A must! -

BODKIN - BODKIN - Bodkin - ITA Akarma Press - LISTENprice: 220,00 PLN / 55,00 EUR
Italian Akarma edition, in a cardboard sleeve slipped into a further multi-fold envelope in the form of a huge cross. Bodkin is a completely unknown, Scottish band which in 1971 recorded at its own expense a great album, based on the heavy sound of guitars and ubiquitous Hammond. The whole thing resembles a little Deep Purple and above all the little-known but great Writing On The Wall. -
LP
BOLDER DAMN - BOLDER DAMN - Mourning - SPA Guerssen Remastered Press - LISTENprice: 155,00 PLN / 38,75 EUR
An absolute classic of VERY heavy American rock from the early 70s. This band, usually compared to Black Sabbath, released in 1971 just one, single album (worth nearly 1000 dollars on the original vinyl!) containing seven tracks based on heavy guitar riffs (and meaty solos) and set on very strong rhythm section playing - a bit like a somewhat modernised and heavier version of Euclid, Dragonfly and Damnation Of Adam Blessing, as well as Grand Funk and Sir Lord Baltimore. The closing, 16-minute "Dead Meat" showed the musicians' progressive inclinations, which only added a certain flavour to the whole. No weak moments - just solid heavy rock! Nobody will be disappointed! A 2025 Spanish reissue. (JL) -

BOLTON IRON MAIDEN - BOLTON IRON MAIDEN - Maiden Flight - SPA Sommor Press - LISTENprice: 145,00 PLN / 36,25 EUR
Bolton Iron Maiden were a group active in 1970-1976, inspired by Led Zeppelin, Cream, Free, Groundhogs or Andromeda. Their music combined blues, hard rock and progressive elements. They built a fairly strong reputation by supporting bands such as UFO, Bedlam, Caravan and Thin Lizzy. They broke up after the death of guitarist Ian Boulton-Smith, who died of cancer. In 2005 the band's drummer, Paul T.J. O'Neill, revived interest in BIM by releasing the albums "Maiden Flight" (in 2005) and "Boulton Rides Again" (two years later), compilations of studio and live recordings. The proceeds from these albums were donated to organisations fighting cancer. After consultations with the better-known Iron Maiden and their manager Rod Smallwood, the band adopted the name Bolton Iron Maiden, to avoid confusion. Released in 2025 by the Spanish label Sommor, on vinyl for the first time, "Maiden Flight" contains previously unreleased studio recordings from 1972 and raw live recordings from (around) 1975. An edition on black vinyl, with an insert included. -

BOW WOW - BOW WOW - Signal Fire + OBI - JAPAN Invitation 1977 1st Press - EXCELLENT PLUS VINTAGE VINYLprice: 400,00 PLN / 100,00 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! Super rare (especially complete - with obi strip and in perfect condition) first Japanese pressing from 1977 of the second album by a very underrated great hard rock formation, almost unknown outside Japan. The members of Metallica were big fans of the early Bow Wow records and one of the tracks (Silver Lightning) was seriously considered for a Metallica cover! To tell the truth, listening to this 40-minute, very competently produced and genuinely superb album it is hard to believe that it was made in the 70s! Among the ten compositions the musicians offered an atmospheric intro, a harmless ballad and eight more or less hard rock-metal numbers filled to the brim with guitar jams. The only thing that was not very thrilling was the rather average, though definitely acceptable, English vocals delivered with a Japanese manner. Complete with obi strip and a lyric insert. Perfect condition! Stiff cardboard sleeve: EX+ / Record: EX+ -

BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live In St. Louis 1976 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A limited, European vinyl released by Verne Records in a very attractive, laminated sleeve and containing the band's 52-minute performance in St. Louis from December 1976, from the American tour promoting the band's sixth record. The Welsh band was then performing as a quartet - with an additional rhythm guitarist, Myf Isaac. The sound quality is very good (from the mixing desk, so-called soundboard) - slightly better and more dynamic in the instrumental layer than the CD version, though the vocal part is still a little too loud, but most fans will surely not mind! A must! Condition: MINT, NEW, unsealed. -

BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Rarities And Radio Sessions 1972-1981- FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A limited, 52-minute European vinyl released by Verne Records in a very attractive sleeve, featuring rare and mostly unique recordings from early singles (including completely different, and shorter, versions of "Whisky River" and "Zoom Club", as well as the little-known "Honey" from 1975), from later studio sessions for BBC radio (from 1976 and 1981); a 1975 performance for BBC TV (known from YouTube) and a 10-minute "Zoom Club" from the concert in St. Louis in 1976 - the latter did not fit on the LP "Live In St. Louis 1976". Excellent sound quality! A must! Condition: MINT, NEW, unsealed. -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live In Birmingham 1979 - EU Dead Man Limited Press - VERY RAREprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a vinyl released in a tasteful gatefold sleeve, containing an excellent-sounding hour-long concert from Birmingham, from December 1979. It was the band's first show with guitarist John Thomas in the line-up - half a year before the LP "Power Supply". I draw your attention to the very interesting setlist, including "Can't Get Up In The Morning", not released on any record, and also a unique, 8-minute medley "In For The Kill/Rape Of The Locks/Guts". It was a radio broadcast, so the whole thing (after noise reduction and mastering) sounds almost ideal! A must! -

LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Budgie - UK Noteworthy Pressprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
If anyone does not know, the Welsh trio Budgie was the only (relatively little-known) band that on its early records could take on the "Holy Trinity" of heavy rock on equal terms: Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. Released in 1971 and recorded live in the studio, the debut album contained a mighty dose of very heavy playing with progressive elements. This is an official reissue released by the band on 180-gram vinyl. -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live At A&M Recording Studios, Los Angeles 1978 (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
This French, limited double black vinyl contains a 65-minute concert of excellent sound quality, recorded (by the quartet, which at the time played live with two guitars) for radio on the American tour promoting the LP Impeckable. NOTE! For many years this material was circulated on the band's own CD "Radio Sessions" (together with material from 1974). The problem is that that (THEORETICALLY great-sounding concert) was... sped up by someone! The 65 minutes from Los Angeles were played in 63 and a half! The band 'played too fast' and to tell the truth I always had the impression that something was wrong - it was livelier, but rather light... Only after listening to the CD 'Live In Milwaukee 1978', recorded 5 days later, did it dawn on me that the official material sold by the band is faulty! Either way, the album contains all the material as God intended. In addition, as a bonus, 37 minutes from the Milwaukee show are included, including the tracks Zoom Club and Sky High Percentage, which are absent from LA. It is a pity that this album did not come out at the time! It would have been another hard rock live classic of the late 70s on a par with Tokyo Tapes - Scorpions, Strangers In The Night - UFO or Live And Dangerous - Thin Lizzy! A must! Condition: NEW, but not shrink-wrapped. -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live At The BBC 1972 - UK Maida Vale / Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
This limited vinyl, released in a run of 500 copies in an attractive, laminated sleeve, contains two legendary radio sessions recorded for the BBC by the Welsh trio (the original line-up with Ray Phillips!) in 1972. The first side contains four recordings made between the first and second albums - in February. The band played exquisitely (better than on the records), and the sound quality is good - miles better than the hissy and heavily muffled excerpt on the long-deleted CD "Heavier Than Air" and SLIGHTLY BETTER than on the LP "BBC Sessions 1972", released by Loudspeaker. Now it is really good, though not ideal. The second part of the vinyl, meanwhile, is a brilliant, half-hour fragment of a concert recorded by the BBC in October 1972 (soon after the release of the LP "Squawk") and played for a small audience at London's Paris Theatre. This perfect and genuinely pin-you-to-your-seat material is known from the official CD "BBC Recordings" (and from the promotional, ultra-rare BBC radio vinyl of 46 years ago), but here it sounds even better, since it has more bass and guitar! Besides, for the first time on vinyl the announcements between tracks have been included. Overall this collectable vinyl is 55 minutes from the top shelf of rock! It is without doubt an essential item in every self-respecting heavy rock collection and at the same time a guaranteed future rarity! The black vinyl sounds perfectly clean - without any surface noise or crackle. A MUST! NEW, SEALED. -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live At The Marquee February 1974 - EU Atos / Verne Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A very nicely produced, limited vinyl in a laminated sleeve, containing the legendary concert from London's Marquee, from February 1974, recorded on the tour promoting the LP "Never Turn Your Back On A Friend". Pete Boot on drums! The sound quality (an audience recording) is very good (better than the excerpt on YouTube), but not ideal. Everything can be heard, although the vocal is slightly at the back. The great attraction of this concert was the guest appearance of Rob Halford and Judas Priest (even before the LP "Rocka Rolla") in "Running From My Soul". A very good setlist ("The Stumble", the aforementioned "Running From My Soul" played twice), it differs slightly from the other London show, known from the LP "Live In London 1974". In addition, the only known live performance of the superb "Living On Your Own" (from the LP "In For The Kill"), from September 1974, has been included. Highly recommended! NEW, SEALED. -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live In London 1974 - FRA Verne Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in a run of 500 copies, European, limited edition of an excellent 53-minute concert (recorded by British radio) played by the Welshmen at a London club in March 1974 - exactly half a year after the release of the third album, and six months before the fourth record. And you can hear it! On drums Pete Boot had just replaced Ray Phillips (unfortunately for only a few months), and he proved himself superbly on the later released LP "In For The Kill". The material from this vinyl had appeared earlier on the CD "Radio Sessions", but fortunately someone has now sat down for a while with the sound, improved it quite clearly (there are now more high tones, though there is plenty of bass as well, sudden differences in the recording level have been evened out) and nicely cut out the poor remnants of the radio presenter's chatter ("Budgie! This is Budgie"). The pressing quality is very good! This is exactly the kind of album that should have come out over 40 years ago as the official live album of this excellent group! It is great that on the back of the sleeve you can see unique photos of this short-lived line-up! A MUST! NEW, sealed. -

LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Bandolier - UK Noteworthy Pressprice: 185,00 PLN / 46,25 EUR
Released in 1975, the fifth album - according to many the last magical record by this Welsh, heavy rock band. The album contains several fantastic numbers, such as "Napoleon Bona Part", "Breaking All The House Rules" and "I Can't See My Feelings" (covered years later by Iron Maiden). Highly recommended! -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Deliver Us From Evil - UK Noteworthy 180g Pressprice: 190,00 PLN / 47,50 EUR

LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - In For The Kill - UK Noteworthy Pressprice: 190,00 PLN / 47,50 EUR
Vinyl edition made by the band. Released in 1974, the brilliant fourth album - probably the heaviest title in the band's discography. The album contains, among others, the great title track, "Crash Course In Brain Surgery", released on the debut single (as early as 1971), the 10-minute "Zoom Club", rolling like a speeding steamroller, "Hammer And Tongs", obviously modelled on "Dazed And Confused", and the hard-progressive "Living On Your Own". A MUST! -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Never Turn Your Back On A Friend - UK Noteworthy Pressprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
If someone wants to own only one Budgie album (which is pointless in itself - you need at least the first 4-5 records...) they should opt for this very one, released in 1973, a heavy rock masterpiece! British, vinyl edition released by the band, in a gatefold sleeve, of the brilliant third album containing, among others, "Breadfan" and "Parents" - the two most popular tracks by this superb formation. Besides that, the best version of "Baby Please Don't Go" and the ear-crushing "In The Grip Of A Tyrefitter's Hand". A MUST! -
LP
BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Squawk - UK Noteworthy Pressprice: 190,00 PLN / 47,50 EUR
British, official edition of the excellent second album - slightly gentler than the debut, but richer in melodic content. The LP "Squawk", released in 1972, contained such superb tracks as "Rocking Man", "Hot As A Docker's Armpit", "Young Is The World" and "Stranded". A MUST! -
LP
BUFFALO (AUS) - BUFFALO - Dead Forever - EU Sun King Expanded Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A new, limited European edition of the excellent debut album, released in 1972 by ('swirl') Vertigo Records, by the heaviest-playing band in the history of Australian rock of the 70s! The band had a genuine ability to compose catchy, though always dark, tracks. The music rolled slowly - like a steamroller, especially in the as-much-as-11-minute cover of "I'm A Mover" from the Free repertoire! Buffalo's first album can be compared to the recordings of Black Sabbath, Budgie, Bloodrock and Sir Lord Baltimore. A gatefold sleeve with a splendid, atmospheric photo of the band playing in a cemetery. A MUST! Condition: MINT (NEW , unsealed). (JL) -
LP
BUFFALO (AUS) - BUFFALO - Only Want You For Your Body +3 - EU Sun King Expanded Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A new, European reissue of the third and at the same time last, truly great record by this Australian band, released in 1974 by Australian Vertigo in a controversial, gatefold sleeve (it wouldn't pass today...)! The band combined the best of early Black Sabbath, Grand Funk and Ten Years After. Ah, those riffs! Great guitar solos, a very heavy sound, a strong vocal. Additionally 3 bonus tracks from singles are included: two tracks from 1972 and one from 1974. A must! Condition: MINT (NEW , unsealed). (JL) -
LP
BUFFALO (AUS) - BUFFALO - Volcanic Rock - ITA Akarma Pressprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
