TRIUMPH - TRIUMPH - Never Surrender - JAPAN RCA Victor ('orange') 1983 1st Press (+OBI) - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 400,00 PLN / 100,00 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare, complete (OBI strip and a lyric insert), first Japanese edition (from 1983) of what is, in my opinion, the last classic album by the Canadian hard rockers (often compared to heavy, but less progressive Rush). If someone likes their classic, superb LP "Allied Forces" (1981), they will also be delighted with this title! Excellent sound - as always on Japanese RCA! Perfect condition! The sleeve is new: MINT(-) / Record, probably unplayed: MINT(-) -

TROWER, ROBIN (see also: Procol Harum) - ROBIN TROWER - Twice Removed From Yesterday - CANADIAN Chrysalis ('green') 1973 1st Press - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 300,00 PLN / 75,00 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare first Canadian edition (from 1973) of the excellent debut album by the Hendrix-fascinated Procol Harum guitarist. Slightly psychedelic and above all rather heavy, bluesy playing in a trio with overdriven guitar. In the mid-70s Trower's trio quite deservedly had the status of a rock star in the USA! TRUTH AND JANEY - TRUTH AND JANEY - No Rest For The Wicked - EU Sun King Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
An absolute revelation! A splendid and now truly cult album from the circle of American heavy rock - without doubt the BEST record of its kind from the second half of the 70s! Word! It is certainly the American top five, or perhaps even top three, of the whole decade! Plenty of heavy riffs; an excellent juicy sound and at the same time surprisingly successful compositions - the whole thing sounds as if recorded in 1971-72 in a professional studio, and not 4 years later in the American provinces! In 1976 nobody in the world played heavy rock better! A total treat for fans of heavy riffing playing in the vein of the debut of Montrose, early Led Zeppelin, UFO of the time and the forgotten Full Moon! Nobody will be disappointed! It is hard to believe that it was a private pressing in a run of 1000 copies - the original vinyl in perfect condition is currently worth over 1500$! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: New (JL) -
LP
UFO - UFO - Live In Germany 1973 - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A great, limited, 56-minute vinyl containing very rare, archival and in its own way exceptional material recorded by a quartet still searching for its style and scraping along the commercial bottom, in Recklinghausen, Germany (for a few dozen fans) in June 1973, with the then guitarist, the very young Bernie Marsden - later of Wild Turkey, Babe Ruth and above all Whitesnake. It is worth noting the very attractive set of tracks - alongside classics such as "Boogie" or "Prince Kajuku" (both lasting 10 minutes each) the strongly improvising band offered the not widely known "Sixteen" and covers such as Janis Joplin's "Move Over" and "Back To The USA" from the MC5 repertoire. Besides this, it is probably the only concert by the band on which you can hear Phil Mogg yelling at a fan... 'Suck my cock'! Right after that Marsden was replaced by Michael Schenker and, as they say - the rest is history... In addition (at the end of the first side) there is a very rare cover of "Leaving Here" - recorded already with Schenker, in Berlin in November 1973 - almost a year before the release of the album "Phenomenon"! The sound quality of the record (a so-called 'audience recording'), although raw, is really very good - dynamic, quite selective (you can hear all the instruments perfectly) and somewhat better than on the raw versions presented below in the YouTube links. The cover shows probably the only known live photo of the line-up with Marsden! It is not really a record for audiophiles, but for old-school fans of heavy rock - certainly! Highly recommended! Condition: MINT (NEW, UNSEALED) (JL) -

UFO - UFO - Live At The BBC 1974-1975 - FRA Verne Press - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
This nearly hour-long vinyl contains three radio sessions from the BBC archives. The first 25 minutes are filled by a recording of a concert that took place in London a few months before the release of the LP 'Phenomenon'. The treat is the brief, five-man line-up with two guitarists: Michael Schenker and Paul Chapman! Then two studio radio tracks from 1974 and another, nearly half-hour live set from 1975 from the period of the LP 'Force It' - already with Danny Peyronel on keyboards. The sound quality is perfect, and the excellent, black, heavy vinyl plays loud and without crackle! It is an absolute must! Condition: NEW, but not shrink-wrapped. -
LP
UFO - UFO - Live In Cleveland 1978 - EU Dead Man Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Released in a beautiful, gatefold, laminated sleeve (inside which are nice concert photos), a single European vinyl, LIMITED TO 500 COPIES, containing an excellent-sounding and superbly played, 57-minute show recorded on 16 October 1978, during the American tour promoting the album "Obsession", on which the brilliant live LP "Strangers In The Night" was made. None of the recordings from Cleveland appeared on Chrysalis's official live record, except for the closing instrumental part of "Rock Bottom" - pasted onto 'SITN' from the version from Chicago three days earlier! The sound quality is excellent (certainly no worse than "Strangers In The Night"), and three tracks ("Hot'n'Ready", "On With The Action" and "Pack It Up And Go") did not appear on the classic record. The 180-gram black vinyl is perfectly pressed! A must! NEW, not shrink-wrapped. -

LP
UFO - UFO - UFO 2 - Flying - One Hour Space Rock - UK Repertoire Abbey Road Half Speed Mastered 180g Press - LISTENprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
A fantastic, second album in the discography (recorded still with the first guitarist, Mick Bolton) containing somewhat bluesy, intense (though played with plenty of room to breathe) heavy rock with a somewhat Hendrix-like sound, drizzled with strongly psychedelic, 'cosmic' sauce. "Star Storm" lasts 19 minutes, and the title track "Flying" as much as 26 and change! And that is not all - there were three more tracks on the record! Sensational! (JL) -
LP
URIAH HEEP - URIAH HEEP - Born In A Trunk - A Collection Of Early BBC Sessions, Album Outtakes And Pre-Uriah Heep Psychedelic Rock Material By SPICE (1968-1971) (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
A superb, limited double-vinyl edition collecting rare or unreleased studio recordings and radio sessions by Uriah Heep from the period of their first three albums (1969-1971)! The 2LP, lasting over 100 minutes, contains, among others, four great tracks from the BBC, in minimally longer or somewhat cleaner versions than on the official CDs. Besides this, four excellent recordings that did not fit on the LP "Salisbury" and finally real rarities: COMPLETELY UNKNOWN radio versions, not previously released on official CDs, somewhat muffled, of three compositions from the LP "Look At Yourself", released only half a year later: "I Wanna Be Free", "Love Machine" and "Shadows Of Grief". Unfortunately the publisher forgot to mention in the note on the back where they come from, so I am informing you that they were recorded for BBC radio on 24 May 1971. Besides this, all eight known recordings by the band Spice (Uriah Heep without Ken Hensley, from 1968-1969) are included: six tracks from an unfinished album from 1969 (including "Born In A Trunk") and both sides of the 1000-euro single "On Love" (1968), from United Artists. With the arrival of Hensley the band changed its name to UH (and the vocalist Garrick changed his surname to Byron) and began to record its real, debut album! The whole thing was released in a very nice, laminated sleeve with several rare photos! It is also a perfect complement to the also double "Crystal Ball - A Collection Of Early Live Performances And Rare Studio Tracks 1971-1974" 2LP - released a few years ago by the sister label Atos Records! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: MINT, NEW, unsealed. (JL) -

URIAH HEEP - URIAH HEEP - Crystal Ball - A Collection Of Early Live Performances And Rare Studio Tracks 1971-1974 (2LP) - EU Atos / Verne Limited Press - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
Released in an attractive, laminated sleeve, an exquisite double compilation limited to 500 copies, containing nearly 120 minutes of rare studio and live recordings, not released on vinyl, recorded in the period from "Look At Yourself" to "Wonderworld". The first vinyl contains fragments of shows from Croydon in Britain, from November 1971 and from Switzerland, from May 1971 (still with the rhythm section of Paul Newton / Iain Clarke), while the second record gathers unreleased studio recordings (in perfect sound quality) and two live pieces from 1974 (including the "Rock And Roll Medley", which earlier did not fit on the vinyl version of "Live In San Diego 1974"). It is at the same time an ideal complement to the also double Born In A Trunk - A Collection Of Early BBC Sessions, Album Outtakes And Pre-Uriah Heep Psychedelic Rock Material By Spice (1968-1971) 2LP - released by sister label Verne! A MUST! Condition: MINT/NEW SEALED. -

LP
URIAH HEEP - URIAH HEEP - Live In San Diego 1974 - UK Atos / Verne LIMITED Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
For the first time on vinyl! A very attractively produced, in a laminated sleeve, excellent-sounding material lasting exactly 60 minutes, recorded in February 1974, during the tour promoting the LP "Sweet Freedom" for the famous American programme King Biscuit Flower Hour. The old CD versions contained about 75 minutes of music, but because of the time limit on vinyl a rather average drum solo in "Gypsy" and the 6-minute "Rock'n'Roll Medley" were (inconspicuously) removed. The record sounds even slightly better than the CD versions! Highly recommended! NEW, SEALED. (JL) -
