CHURCHILL DOWNS - CHURCHILL DOWNS - Churchill Downs - GER Shadoks 1st Pressprice: 220,00 PLN / 55,00 EUR

CHURCHILL, CHICK (see also: Ten Years After) - CHICK CHURCHILL - You & Me - SWE Flawed Gems - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
C.C. is of course the keyboardist of Ten Years After! What a pity that Alvin Lee did not include Chick's compositions on TYA albums! I wrote about this genuinely charming album in the book "Brytyjski Rock" and although I gave it a fairly high rating then, I now like this progressive, elegant and genuinely 'catchy' record even more! The incredible line-up certainly did the music no harm - just look! Among others Martin Barre, Cozy Powell, Leo Lyons, Bernie Marsden and the vocalist of the group Wild Turkey, whom I like very much (appearing on almost all the tracks)! In fact it is to the output of WT (as well as Wishbone Ash and Procol Harum of the time) that Churchill's music harks back to the greatest degree. I assure you that the LP "You & Me", released in a rather unattractive cover, has no filler whatsoever! Certain shortcomings of the artwork are compensated for by the excellent, clean sound quality! A MUST! New, sealed. -
CHURCHILLS (see also: Jericho Jones / Jericho) - CHURCHILLS - Churchills - SPA Guerssen Press - LISTENprice: 160,00 PLN / 40,00 EUR
A very nice Spanish reissue (with a gatefold insert) of an album released at the end of 1969, one of the 5 best psychedelic records made at the end of the 60s outside Europe and the USA. A splendid album - a collector's Holy Grail worth, as an excellently preserved original on the Head-Arzi label, around 5000-6000 euros! This Israeli band (with a British guitarist/leader) combined in an original way the aesthetics of British psychedelia (especially in the first part) with heavier, almost experimental sounds (side 2) with the melodies of the local folk. Unfortunately at the time almost nobody in Israel listened to such 'anarchistic' music, which is why the record sold in minimal numbers. Soon afterwards the group went to the UK and transformed into the excellent Jericho Jones and then into Jericho! A must! -
CHURLS - CHURLS - Churls / Send Me No Flowers - EU Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Two albums (from 1968-1969) by a great Canadian band that once recorded for A&M. The debut contains, among others, the superb, psychedelic "Time Piece" - a track that Bloodrock covered on their debut in 1970! A very underrated, forgotten band combining different varieties of psychedelia with a sharp guitar sound. The second, somewhat more bluesy album referenced the style of the 'first', with greater use of organ. Highly recommended! (JL) -

This is a live recording of a meeting of two important figures of the San Francisco scene – guitarist John Cipollina and vocalist Nick Gravenites. CIRCULUS - CIRCULUS - Clocks Are Like People - UK Press - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Released in 2006, the second album by a British band containing psychedelic-folk-rock material with progressive touches, as if taken straight from 1971-72! The record contains nine richly arranged and truly charming compositions based on the sound of acoustic guitars, flute, Moog and several other instruments. Female and male vocals. Overall the record should appeal to fans of Trees, Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, Gryphon, or Sandy Denny's debut album. Recommended. -

CIRCUS (UK) (see also: King Crimson / Camel) - CIRCUS - Circus - EU Ethelion Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A remastered European edition, released in a gatefold sleeve, of the excellent and unfortunately only album, released in 1969, by a British progressive band led by the wind player Mel Collins - soon afterwards lured away from the band by Robert Fripp to King Crimson! Typically progressive playing with jazz influences and a few short ballads. The album contains, among other things, an absolutely stunning, almost heavy-rock, 8-minute version of "Norwegian Wood" by The Beatles and a brilliant rework of a jazz classic by Charles Mingus - one of my favourite progressive tracks 'ever'! This is the best-sounding reissue of this title! A must! -

A European edition, remastered and extended by four tracks (from 1968), of the excellent and unfortunately only album, released in 1969, by a British progressive band led by the wind player Mel Collins - soon afterwards lured away from the band by Robert Fripp to King Crimson! Typically progressive playing with jazz influences and a few short ballads. The album contains, among other things, an absolutely stunning, almost heavy-rock, eight-minute version of "Norwegian Wood" by The Beatles and a brilliant rework of a jazz classic by Charles Mingus - one of my favourite progressive tracks 'ever'! This is the best-sounding CD version of this title! A must! -
CIRCUS 2000 - CIRCUS 2000 - I Am The Witch - Anthology (2CD) - UK Grapefruit Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
The first anthology by an Italian band with a female vocalist in the style of Earth & Fire. The band now has cult status, but during its existence it had difficulty finding an audience, which may have stemmed from the English lyrics, and also from the fact that the Italian scene was dominated by keyboard-based music, while the basis of Circus 2000's work was the guitar. The set contains both albums, "Circus 2000" from 1970 and "An Escape From A Box" from 1972, as well as nine single tracks and two previously unreleased compositions that were to appear on the third album. The whole thing comes in a gatefold digipak, with an attractive booklet with many rare photos. Highly recommended! (MU) -
CIRCUS 2000 - CIRCUS 2000 - Circus 2000 - ITA GREEN VINYL Limited 180g Press - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
The first album by the cult Italian band. A very nice album, perhaps not as rock and progressive as the 'second one', simply different - more catchy, at moments balladic, and largely psychedelic (a little in the style of dreamy Jefferson Airplane). A limited 2018 edition, on green vinyl. -
CIRITH UNGOL - CIRITH UNGOL - Frost And Fire - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR

CLANNAD - CLANNAD - Macalla + 1 - 40th Anniversary Card Sleeve Remastered Editionprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
The ninth album - probably the most popular in the career of this folk rock band, extremely atmospheric, ethereal and elegant, combining Celtic tradition with synthesisers and 80s pop production. An edition for the 40th anniversary – remastered sound, previously unpublished photos of the band, new texts in the booklet and an interview with the musicians. -

"The Professor Blues Review" (1986) is a live album, recorded during the Montreux Jazz Festival, at an important moment for the artist of a conscious turn towards tradition - pure, classic blues, away from the pop touches of his studio work of the time. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -
CLAPTON, ERIC - Eric Clapton – Life in 12 Bars (2CD) - EU Press - UNIKALNY CDprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
This is not an ordinary "greatest hits" compilation, but a well-thought-out cross-section of Eric Clapton's whole career – from his earliest recordings to later, more reflective pieces. The album is the soundtrack to the documentary about Clapton of the same title - and that is exactly how it sounds: like a musical biography. The first disc focuses on the roots – raw, electric blues and the British scene of the 60s. You can hear the young Clapton in full-energy form here: sharp riffs, inspirations from Muddy Waters and a pure, unpolished style. Recordings with The Yardbirds or John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers show how quickly he was growing into one of the most important guitarists of his era. The second disc is a more mature Clapton – more emotion, more space and a more personal tone. Classics appear from Derek and the Dominos and solo recordings, including "Tears in Heaven". ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -
CLAPTON, ERIC - ERIC CLAPTON - Back Home - EU Editionprice: 50,00 PLN / 12,50 EUR
Clapton's seventeenth solo album. -
CLAPTON, ERIC - ERIC CLAPTON - No Reason To Cry - EU Remastered Editionprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Sixth solo album, from 1976, recorded with the participation of a galaxy of celebrities (including Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr and Ron Wood). It did not help Mr E.C. much, but at least the record is very decent and decidedly better than the previous ones... (K) -

CLARKE, STANLEY (see also: Return To Forever) - STANLEY CLARKE - I Wanna Play for You - US Epic Records - UNIKALNY CDprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
"I Wanna Play for You" (1979) is one of the most representative jazz fusion records of the late 70s: spectacular, superbly played and full of stars. Perhaps not as groundbreaking as Clarke's earlier achievements, but more communicative and polished in production, it is virtuosity served in the form of a top-class funk-jazz show. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed.
