AC/DC - AC/DC - Live In Paris 1979 + 4 Demos (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
An excellent, double, 105-minute limited album, containing a nearly 90-minute performance from Paris on 23 October 1979 - from the tour promoting the LP "Highway To Hell". The sound quality is excellent - even somewhat better, more dynamic than on the official 2CD from the "Bonfire" box set! Certainly in no way inferior to the official record mentioned above! The album contains a real 'Best Of' from 1975-1979, with superb versions of "Sin City", "Walk Over You" and "Let There Be Rock"! In addition, four early versions of tracks from the LP "Highway To Hell" are included - in completely changed, professionally performed versions and in perfect sound quality! Everything decorated with a beautiful, unique, laminated sleeve! A must! Condition: MINT, NEW, UNSEALED. (JL) -

AVALANCHE - AVALANCHE - Perseverance Kills Our Game - Guerssen Records - UNIKALNY CDprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
A very rare and long-forgotten release from 1979 that only gained recognition years later and has become an important collector's item. Avalanche's music is instrumental, fairly chamber-like progressive rock with strong jazz influences. The compositions are extended and develop slowly, often through repetition and subtle shifts of accent. There is a kinship with Soft Machine of the jazz rock period, but without their irony and British looseness, and at certain moments a cool, detached aura emerges, familiar from the more experimental incarnations of King Crimson. 2014 reissue. Only one copy! New, sealed. -

BLOQUE - BLOQUE - Hombre, Tierra y Alma - SWE Flawed Gems Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
I love this album! Released 'only' in 1979, but sounding much earlier (1973-74), the Spaniards' second album contained a very impressive and soulful portion of progressive rock based on a strong vocal, sobbing or heavily riff-driven guitar parts and of course a battery of keyboards - almost identical in form to the offerings of some Italian formations such as Biglietto per l'Inferno, P.F.M. or Museo Rosenbach - with a touch of the style of Pink Floyd and early Camel. I stress that Spanish progressive bands were heavily 'delayed' (including Lisker, Nu, Leno) and the date 1979 can safely be treated as nominal. I write this because at that time rather dreadful things were being made in the progressive world, but in General Franco's country time flowed differently, more slowly. As with all records from this label - excellent sound quality, mastered from the original vinyl! A must! -
BLUE EFFECT (Modry Efekt) - MODRY EFEKT – Svět Hledačů (+7) - Supraphon Digipak Remastered Editionprice: 90,00 PLN / 22,50 EUR
"The album Svět Hledačů is the highest-rated (4.31 out of 5) title by the group on the site progarchives.com, created by (ever younger) fans and all kinds of know-it-alls, while Meditace (3.23/5) and Nová Syntéza 2 (3.29/5) - the worst, which may not be entirely reliable (only 70-160 people voted on the band's various titles), but it testifies to what kind of progressive rock is currently best received among internet users... After the release of the album Veselý, in conflict with the vocalist, left the band, and in 1980 Supraphon released a very average single Žena V Okně / Známe Se Dál - credited to Lešek Semelka M. Efekt." REVIEW BY JACEK LEŚNIEWSKI FROM A BOOK ON ROCK FROM THE FORMER EASTERN BLOC, BEGUN BUT ABANDONED AFTER HALF A YEAR (2021). A digipak edition, 7 bonus tracks. -

BUDGIE - BUDGIE - Live In Birmingham 1979 - EU Dead Man Limited Press - VERY RAREprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Limited to 500 copies, a vinyl released in a tasteful gatefold sleeve, containing an excellent-sounding hour-long concert from Birmingham, from December 1979. It was the band's first show with guitarist John Thomas in the line-up - half a year before the LP "Power Supply". I draw your attention to the very interesting setlist, including "Can't Get Up In The Morning", not released on any record, and also a unique, 8-minute medley "In For The Kill/Rape Of The Locks/Guts". It was a radio broadcast, so the whole thing (after noise reduction and mastering) sounds almost ideal! A must! -

CLARKE, STANLEY (see also: Return To Forever) - STANLEY CLARKE - I Wanna Play for You - US Epic Records - UNIKALNY CDprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
"I Wanna Play for You" (1979) is one of the most representative jazz fusion records of the late 70s: spectacular, superbly played and full of stars. Perhaps not as groundbreaking as Clarke's earlier achievements, but more communicative and polished in production, it is virtuosity served in the form of a top-class funk-jazz show. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -
