ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare (especially in great condition), first British pressing (from 1977, by CBS) of the second album by a very good, though underrated, British, slightly Zeppelin-like hard-progressive band, with Paul Chapman (UFO) on guitar. The vocal parts on this album were performed by John Sloman (later for a year in Uriah Heep). Originally the sleeve was covered with a thin, silver foil, very prone to scratches and scuffs! Lyric insert! Great condition! Fortunately, this copy still has the original factory foil (on which a circular scuff is visible - it is not the sleeve!), although minor scuffs on the back are visible, hence the sleeve: MINT- / Record almost perfect: MINT(-) -

ANALOGUE SOUND! A super rare, first Japanese pressing of the classic live album (the third in their discography) by the 'Japanese Deep Purple', released in 1977 on double vinyl. Plus two rigid inner sleeves with lyrics. The band plays truly fantastically here, and the live versions sound even better than their studio counterparts - which in the 70s was standard for every self-respecting rock band. This 87-minute album is a slightly weaker (inevitably) copy of Deep Purple's "Made In Japan" combined with "Made In Europe". Is that an incentive? For me, an enormous one! Released in 1977 on double vinyl, the live, third and at the same time last classic album by the 'Japanese Deep Purple'. The band plays really fantastically here, and the live versions sound even better than their studio counterparts - which in the 70s was the standard for every self-respecting rock group. Only in the last 30 years has the value of the live album (usually made half in the studio) dropped almost to zero, and most of them are typical contract or discography fillers... Returning to Murasaki, this CD, lasting exactly 80 minutes, sounds like a (inevitably) somewhat weaker copy of Deep Purple's 'Made In Japan' combined with 'Made In Europe'. Is that an incentive? For me an enormous one! Compared with the original album the order of the tracks has been slightly changed and incidentally a mediocre, cloying ballad has dropped out. The sound itself, however, is almost excellent! A must! -

An exceptional document of one of Omega's most important concerts in its classic line-up. The two-disc release presents for the first time the complete recording of the performance at Budapest's Kisstadion, showing the band at the peak of its artistic powers. The concert programme is based mainly on material from the albums "Nem tudom a neved" and "Időrabló", enriched with earlier compositions and the English-language track "Family Strong". On stage Omega impresses with extended parts for organ, Moog synthesisers and mellotron, striking guitar solos and the compact, dynamic playing of the rhythm section. Particular attention is drawn by the extended versions of "A Névtelen Utazó", the suite "Időrabló", "Éjféli Koncert" and the striking instrumental showpieces titled "Szintetizátormutatványok", which are a demonstration of László Benkő's abilities. The recording captures the atmosphere of Omega's concerts of the second half of the seventies, when the group was among the biggest rock stars in Central and Eastern Europe. The remastered sound preserves the authentic character of the archival material, while offering much better quality than earlier sources. -

The compositions stand out for their expansive arrangements, dominated by Hammond organ, Mellotron, Moog synthesisers and the melodic guitar parts of György Molnár. An edition in the original Hungarian sleeve. Additionally 3 rare tracks. Highly recommended! -

A rare, limited, two-disc CD containing a splendid, 127-minute performance from Boston, of 7 June 1977 - alongside the Oakland performance (May 1977), the best-sounding concert from the tour promoting the LP "Animals". As on the previous tour ("Wish You Were Here" in 1975), nobody connected with Pink Floyd professionally recorded any concert at the time. And once again several performances were somehow recorded 'by surprise' from the audience, and the Boston concert is truly exceptional! The musical content is simply stunning too! Playing with the accompaniment of second guitarist Snowy White (later in Thin Lizzy, also known for his solo hit "Bird Of Paradise"), the band performed the whole LP "Wish You Were Here" (greatly extended, among other things by the second part of the "Shine On" suite, lasting over 21 minutes!), the whole of "Animals" (also changed/extended compared with the studio version) + two fragments from "Dark Side Of The Moon". Recorded among the audience, on 'almost' professional equipment, the concert sounds better than some of the official mixing-desk recordings. Additionally nice artwork. This CD sounds some 10% better than the attached YouTube material. A must for fans! (JL)
