ELOY (see also: Jane) - ELOY - Eloy +4 - EU Once Again Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTEN
price: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
A new, remastered and, with 4 rare tracks, expanded, great-sounding, European edition of the somewhat forgotten, though excellent, debut, released by Philips in July 1971, by the then later very popular German progressive band.
In the early period (before 1973) the Eloy musicians were inspired by the hard rock achievements of British bands, which contrasted with the gentler, more subdued style dominating the later (after 1974), more Floyd-like work... Made in a special sleeve, cut out on the front in the shape of... a dustbin lid (with a cut-out flap!), the LP contained a mighty dose of hard rock playing with distinct influences of progressive rock and a psychedelic atmosphere. Musically the record relied on heavy, guitar riffs, distinct Hammond organ parts and a strong rhythm section. Something like the work of Atomic Rooster, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Black Sabbath. The album went completely unnoticed and original, well-preserved copies cost around 800 euros! Additionally 4 recordings from 1970 are included: 2 sides of a single released privately by the band and another 2 recordings unreleased on vinyl. This edition contains 1-2 more tracks than previous editions! A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL)
