This is an almost ideal, European replica of the original Italian edition from the label Ricordi in a gatefold sleeve. In my opinion this title, released in spring 1973, is the best progressive album ever recorded in Italy! Full stop. The music of Museo Rosenbach is a combination of the style of Jethro Tull, King Crimson, P.F.M. and Deep Purple with more than a pinch of Italian classical music. The 20-minute title suite simply overwhelms with its rich melodies, numerous changes of mood, inventive construction and the powerful sound of the instrumental parts (organ, piano, mellotron, guitars) - at moments close to the style of juicy, heavy rock. The remaining 3 tracks are practically in no way inferior to it. It is hardly surprising that vinyl collectors pay as much as 4000 euros for perfect, original Italian copies, though on the other hand the sum of 300 euros sometimes paid for the limited Sony reissue from six years ago is already a considerable exaggeration... A great advantage of this release is the very good sound quality - certainly better than the Sony version, as it is almost as good as the original (I own it, so I know)! In my opinion, this title, released in spring 1973, is the best progressive album ever recorded in Italy! Full stop. The music of Museo Rosenbach is a combination of the style of Jethro Tull, King Crimson, P.F.M. and Deep Purple with more than a pinch of Italian classical music. A very good, second album by the future classics of Italian progressive rock. On this record, released in 1970, the band offered a mixture of heavy, psychedelic rock with ambitious pop. The whole recalls Le Orme's first album, the early recordings of the Hungarian Omega, and also Vanilla Fudge, Gods and Deep Purple from the debut period! All in all it is a somewhat underrated record that is really a great pleasure to listen to! -

A new edition (in a plastic jewel case) of the classic fourth album (1972) by a popular and esteemed Italian progressive band. Originally released as a double vinyl and sung in English, the title contained, as it were, two different titles in one! The first part (record) was dominated by delicate, classical-leaning sounds (including organ, mellotron, choirs) with plenty of acoustic, spacious passages, though not free of dynamic changes (e.g. the 10-minute 'To Edith'). The second, much more rock part, on the other hand, was filled with compositions played live in the studio (with an audience pasted in here and there), almost hard rock, though at times somewhat chaotic, which could easily have found a place on the earlier LP 'Concerto Grosso' (1971) (e.g. 'Bright Lights' or the 18-minute 'Lying Here' closing the whole), inspired by Deep Purple, Jethro Tull and Colosseum. Highly recommended! -

"UT" by the Italian band New Trolls is the fifth album, released in 1972, considered one of the band's most important achievements in the period of their progressive heyday. The record combines elements of progressive rock, symphonic rock and hard rock, characteristic of the Italian rock progressivo italiano scene of the early 70s. "UT" is one of the most ambitious and at the same time underrated albums of Italian progressive rock. New Trolls present here a sound much rawer and more rock than on their earlier, symphonic projects, while retaining their characteristic care for melody and arrangement finesse. -
