TOE FAT - Midnight Sun - BBC Sessions (June 1969-November 1970) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RARE

This tasteful, limited vinyl contains, recorded between summer 1969 and autumn 1970, only on ultra-rare BBC radio promotional vinyls - genuinely fantastic material by a hard rock formation led initially by vocalist Cliff Bennett and guitarist Ken Hensley. The band also featured drummer Lee Kerslake (ex-The Gods - later for 35 years in Uriah Heep). Several tracks (covers) never appeared on the main records, while the rest are here in much better and heavier versions! To tell the truth, this is the kind of guitar playing (the excellent Alan Kendall - later for many years in the band... Bee Gees) that totally drops your jaw! On the 1970 recordings the band reaches the level of Led Zeppelin's best work! 50 minutes in perfect sound quality! This vinyl edition sounds even better than the CD - it has more bass. The black, heavy vinyl plays loud and without crackle! This is an absolute must! Condition: NEW, unsealed. (JL)
