THE APOSTLES - The Apostles - PMG Audio Edition - UNIKALNY CD

A compilation of recordings by the Nigerian band The Apostles, from the early 70s, in the style of Afro-funk and soul. The music relies on a pulsating rhythm section, guitars with a lightly overdriven sound and multi-voice vocal parts, which give the whole a spirited, danceable character. The band skilfully combines elements of local tradition with influences of rhythm and blues and funk. A 2016 reissue. Only one copy! New, sealed.
