Stoned Rose – From Dawn To Jane - Guerssen Record Edition

A compilation of studio recordings by a British heavy rock band from 1970-1971, which for years remained in the archives. It is a great example of a "missing link" between the psychedelia of the late 60s and the emerging heavier rock of the 70s. The guitars are heavy for their time, at moments almost brushing against proto-metal, and at the same time there are extended, lightly progressive structures. For fans of early hard rock and psychedelia it will be a very valuable discovery, bringing to mind early Black Sabbath, Leaf Hound mixed with High Tide and Arzachel and at times early Pink Floyd.
