STATUS QUO, THE SPECTRES AND THE TRAFFIC JAM – The Pye / Piccadilly A's & B's 1966–73 (2CD) - BGO Records Remastered Edition

This two-disc compilation documents the early years of Status Quo from 1966-1973, from recordings made under the names The Spectres and The Traffic Jam to singles from the period when the band gradually moved away from psychedelic pop towards harder rock. Among the 32 tracks are "Pictures Of Matchstick Men", "Ice In The Sun" and "Down The Dustpipe", which makes the set a way to follow the group's evolution between 1966 and 1973, before it developed its characteristic sound based on guitars and boogie rhythm.
