SALAMANDER - Ten Commandments - AUS Progressive Line Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

This great, progressive 'concept album' was made in 1971 around the ten commandments, although in truth only the very emotional introduction sounds like 'Christian rock'. The English band recorded only this one record, referencing the work of The Moody Blues (from 1967-1970) - that is, a rather gentle variety of melodic prog-rock based on the sound of almost ubiquitous Hammond organ, with the guitar usually staying slightly in the background (though capable of hitting hard in hard-rock fashion) and occasional orchestration. Fans of old-school progressive playing should be delighted - even atheists :-) After all, the late Tomasz Beksiński loved this record too... Very highly recommended!
