PRETTY THINGS - Electric Banana Sessions (1967-1969) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RARE

A remastered, 52-minute vinyl edition of the best material (alongside "S.F. Sorrow" from 1968) that The Pretty Things ever recorded, though originally under the name... Electric Banana! In 1967-1969 the band, which never complained of an excess of cash, recorded a series of records (one 10-inch - together with recordings by other artists - and two albums) for the music library label de Wolfe. On the first sides of the monophonic vinyl records the versions with vocals were placed, and on the second sides - instrumental tracks only. These recordings later appeared as music illustrating television programmes, low-budget British films, and so on. In any case, none of these records ever went on sale (they are now in great demand and worth 250-300 each in the original), and what is more, they were released under the name Electric Banana (the band's real name, May and Taylor, was never mentioned)... It is not hard to guess that the band was then at the peak of its form, and tracks such as "Alexander", "Eagle's Son" or "Blow Your Mind" (from the LP "Even More Electric Banana" from 1969) even surpass the legendary "S.F. Sorrow"! Additionally three instrumental versions are included. Great sound! An absolute must! NEW, sealed. (JL)
