PIERSALIS - Plancton - ITA Remastered Card Sleeve Edition

Released in 1975, the album is an excellent example of 70s Italian pop, with influences of French song and music. Its style is a combination of lyrical, emotional singing and melodies of a French character, but with Italian temperament and delicacy. 'Plancton' is a classic pop album, but with distinct elements of chanson, that is French artistic song, known for poetic lyrics and often sad, nostalgic tones. The sound of this album is mainly delicate, acoustic arrangements with dominant string instruments and piano, which subtly underline the vocals of Piero Salis. It is music full of feeling, often melancholic, but also very elegant and refined.
