PHOENIX - Mugur de Fluier +6 - ITA Eastern Time Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

Like the debut album, it is an absolute canon of European, folky progressive rock and at the same time one of the top five or six rock records from the former Eastern Bloc! Phoenix are in a way a Romanian Skaldowie, only approaching experiments with sound and dynamics more boldly. In a word - more guitars, more changes of mood and more psychedelia! The album is almost as wonderful as the debut, and the last track simply kills - just listen to that incredible, psychedelic guitar solo - probably the only one of its kind in the former Eastern Bloc! You cannot tear yourself away! The authenticity of the group's music is also enhanced by the fact that it was constantly harassed by communist censorship, which in 1977 ended in its (literal) escape to Germany. Original vinyl copies (in the original gatefold sleeve) in perfect condition fetch 150 euros! Plus six great tracks from 1972-1974. A must! (JL)
