PHILLIPE DEBARGE with THE PRETTY THINGS - Rock St. Trop +3 - UK Madfish Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN

An excellent, hard-psychedelic album, recorded in 1969 by a French millionaire dreaming of a career as a musician - Phillipe DeBarge, accompanied by the group Pretty Things, then (between the records "S.F. Sorrow" and "Parachute") at the peak of its form. The material only came out in 2009. The music is sensational; somewhat more acoustic than the decidedly rock, psychedelic masterpiece from 1968, but almost as excellent! There is overdrive here, Hammonds, Mellotron, vocal harmonies typical of PT. A 2017 British reissue, in a digipak, with three bonus tracks, two of which are demo tracks never published before. A MUST!
