PAVOL HAMMEL / PRÚDY – The Best Of - Pavian Records Press

This is not just a set of old hits but, above all, new studio interpretations of the songs, prepared to mark the band's 50th anniversary. The recordings were made in 2017, and the album was released on vinyl in 2018. The tracks include "Podnájom", "Medulienka", "Zvonky zvoňte", "Stromy" and "Dnes už viem". Of particular interest is the new track "Víno, spev a ženy", which joins a repertoire built up over many years. It is worth stressing that re-recording the material has made it possible to present the classic compositions in modern sound quality; some of the tracks from the album Zvoňte, zvonky can be heard here in stereo for the first time.
