OMEGA - Ejszkai Orszagut +6 - Hungarian GrundRecords Expanded Edition - LISTEN

In my opinion the third album, released in 1970 (English title: Nocturnal Road), was top-shelf European progressive playing, inspired by the work of Jethro Tull, King Crimson and Led Zeppelin but also by European classical music! It is a much darker album than the others, at times very heavy, almost Sabbath-like (the stunning second track), though also containing some of the most beautiful melodies in the band's career! It was the last title with Gabor Presser, who, together with the hitherto hard-hitting drummer, left to found Locomotiv GT! Additionally as many as 6 bonus tracks from Hungarian, English-language singles, that is half of the second album and Dead Are The Flowers! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! (JL)
