MOVE - BBC Radio Sessions 1967-1970 (2LP) - UK Maida Vale / Verne LIMITED Press - LISTEN - VERY RARE

A fantastic, excellent-sounding (all the recordings come from tapes or from promotional BBC discs) double compilation of radio sessions made by this British band led by Roy Wood, in 1967-1970. The Move were one of the best and probably most underrated important bands of the second half of the 60s. The band began with ambitious, dynamic pop, then went into heavyish, melodic psychedelia and finally began to play progressive, rather heavy rock. On the last four tracks Jeff Lynne appeared, and a year later with Wood they turned the band into Electric Light Orchestra. I stress: for many the album may be just another "compilation", but this is something completely different! There are plenty of unreleased compositions here - especially superb covers of other artists' recordings. Most versions of The Move's recordings, meanwhile, are better and more dynamic than their studio counterparts! One of the best reissues of recent years! An absolute MUST! NEW, SEALED.
