MONUMENT - First Monument - SPA Guerssen Press - LISTEN

Very tastefully presented Spanish reissue of the only album by an ephemeral, British heavy-progressive formation. Behind the pseudonym Monument hid the heavy rock group Zior (playing in their spare time for quick cash). Released originally in 1971 by the label Beacon, known from the first UFO records, the LP contained classic, largely instrumental, heavy prog rock with dominant Hammond sound - resembling the style of the formation Bram Stoker, and at moments also Rare Bird and Arzachel. Highly recommended!
