LOVE - Forever Changes - EU Rhino Elektra Press - LISTEN

A remastered, European reissue of Love's third album, in my opinion one of the five best albums in the history of American rock - containing truly beautiful and moving recordings (a bit like "Again" by Buffalo Springfield combined with "Younger Than Yesterday" by The Byrds and with "In Search Of The Lost Chord" by The Moody Blues); enchanting with refined instrumentation (occasional strings, trumpets, classical guitars), the wonderful, almost angelic vocal of Arthur Lee - and all of this prepared in a delicate, psychedelic sauce. For autumn 1967 it was almost a world record in 'ambitious' playing, and today for me it is one of the 10-15 records of all time! (JL)
