JOSEFUS - Josefus (2nd Album) +5 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded - LISTEN - VERY RARE

A remastered edition of the superb second album, released in autumn 1970 (by the cult label Mainstream Records), by Americans playing a heavy kind of rock in the vein of Cream, Mountain and Led Zeppelin, with catchy melodies and a dirty sound. The second is at times slightly lighter (which does not mean light...) than the overwhelming, ear-crushing LP "Dead Man", although better produced and generally at a very high level. In addition, four nice live recordings from 1969 (including a 26-minute version of "Dead Man" - a pity that it is of average quality) and an excellent number from the single by the band Stone Axe - founded by two members of Josefus. Highly recommended! (JL)
