JACKIE LOMAX - Lost Soul Singles And Demos 1966-1967 / BADGER - White Lady 1974 (2CD) - UK RPM Edition - LISTEN - LAST COPY

The first disc of this two-disc release is filled with previously unreleased single tracks and demo versions (from 1966-67) by the ephemeral rhythm'n'blues formation Lomax Alliance. The group had a contract with Brian Epstein (the manager of The Beatles), but after his sudden death only one CBS single came out. It is certainly a treat for fans of the "early-to-mid" 60s! The second disc, meanwhile, contains the average LP "White Lady" (1974) - the second album by the (earlier progressive) group Badger (still with Jackie Lomax on vocals), in a soft rock vein - sometimes played with a touch of soul and Latin music. Worth having for the first disc! (JL)
