A very underrated debut album (overshadowed by "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", released a few months later) by an American group drawing on the style of The Doors. The record is worth owning for the brilliant "Iron Butterfly Theme" alone, though there are plenty of other great tracks here, such as "Posession", "You Can't Win", "So-Lo" and "Get Out Of My Life Woman". 2025 reissue. Highly recommended! (JL)
