FORMULA 3 - Dies Irae +1 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

Remastered, expanded with one track and decidedly better-sounding Swedish edition of the excellent debut album by a once popular Italian progressive formation - here inspired by heavy psychedelic rock in the vein of Hendrix, early Deep Purple and Procol Harum. This album, released in February 1970, was probably the first truly rock title released by an Italian band! The opening, full of changing moods, "Dies Irae" is an absolute psychedelic masterpiece - a mega-intense combination of heavy guitars, roaring Hammond organs, stirring choirs and rhythm section. One of the best moments in the history of early prog rock! The rest of the record is also excellent - with dominant Hendrix/Purple rock playing and two short, somewhat more pop passages. A MUST! (JL)
